I say General Zod, Non, and Preus. I'd love to see these three in a Superman movie together or maybe even in a Superman animated series. However, I think that Non should start talking. Oh & Mongul, he's always been one of my favorites as well.

Zod's going to be used more thanks to Donner's new arc (and the attention paid to Donner's cut of Superman 2) but I would be interested in seeing solo stories with his associates, especially Non- who was established as the cruelest, and strongest of the three. There could easily be a few shorter stories (ie- 1 to 2 parts) devoted to his conflicts with Superman. He could also be used as a threat to DC's other powerhouse heroes (ie- Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter.)

Definitely Zod.
I'm glad Donner's making him a major player again. Even bringing along Non and Ursa. :D

Non is my second favorite Kryptonian villain, coming after Zod. I always wondered was he the strongest when I watched Superman II but even if he was he probably wouldn't be have been able to correctly utilize his power because he's dumb. I like the fact that they are using General Zod & Non more as a whole but I'd also like to see Non turn out not to be a mute.

Mxy needs to be used more frequently. At least three times a year in any of the Super titles. And Darkseid needs to be used correctly, instead of being the punching bag/measuring stick for Superman and other heroes.
Also, Metallo! When I heard about Morrison, Millar, and Waid's idea to bring him back with a red kryptonite heart, I couldn't imagine a more awesome catch for that character. I mean, having a kryptonite heart is one thing, but every villain has kryptonite something; but they're all green. A red kryptonite heart would make for some hilarious, ridiculous fights.

They should make Metallo similar to how he was in the SR game. He should be able to create robots or assemble metal to make himself larger.
Also, Preus needs to be used more as well. The last I read was that he was in some kind of hospital.

I thought he could do this... I seem to rememeber when Bogndanove (sp?) pencilling S:MOS seeing some supersized Metallos...

Well, I'm not sure although I have seen a few pictures of a giant Metallo in the comics.

I know for a fact that he created a 'giant form' very similar to the one seen in the SR game during Superman's time as an energy being-- and he used Superman himself as a battery (construct fell apart when Superman phased back into Clark Kent).

I never knew that. Thanks for the info. :D
I don't know about you guys but I myself would love to see more Kryptonian villains made that would actually be a match for Superman.

I like the idea of the Phantom Zone trio (or quartet including "junior"), but it would probably be best with just them... I think they've deluded the "Last Son of Krypton" element of Supes with the multi-universes, Supergirl, Powergirl, Beppo...:D

Despero! He's stronger than Supes, and has mental powers to boot. Not that funny looking pink version roaming around in comic book limbo, but the TimmCo version voiced by the awesome Keith David:

Despero is more of a foe of Martian manhunter than anybody else since MM has a history with Despero in practically almost every incarnation of the JLA.

I just read about Doomsday a few minutes of ago & he's one bad mother.....well, you know the rest. :D He should get a few more storylines but he shouldn't kill Superman again, that's the type of storyline that's only going to actually be good when it's first used.

They should just steal him then. Actually, I wouldn't mind if Superman and the Martian started hanging out a lot and fought him together.

I remember Despero (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Despero) from an old JLU episode with the Green Lantern Corps. Other than that the other info on Wiki is news to me.

No thanks , i'll prefer Despero to be a JLA threat than a member of the superman job squad which he'll be once he becomes a superman foe.

Like I said, Doomsday needs to be used in another major storyline. Last time he killed Superman, kicked Darkseid's ass, and later he became a hero. A fresh new storyline would be nice to see.

A great despero story doesn't have to relegate him to any 'job squad'. At least not anymore of a jobber than he is now. He hasn't exactly been used very well. He could simply decide to take the JLA down one at a time, starting with Superman(in a Superman book/arc).

I'd also like for Jax-Ur & Mala to be used more in the comics. To my knowledge they haven't had too many encounters with Superman. Plus, I loved the way they were portrayed in Superman: TAS. A portrayal similar to the one from TAS could work.

The Ultra-Humanite. The Timmverse version is good. I also like the version from Legends of the DCU first arc. And, of course, there was the Ultra-Humanite from the Huntress/Power Girl issue of Superman/Batman.

I don't like Ultra Humanite all too much.
Does Solomon Grundy count as a Superman villain? If so, he should have a few stories in which he battles Superman.

Does Solomon Grundy count as a Superman villain?Grundy may not be Superman spicific, but he is the DCU's Universial Henchman. Really, they could write a story about him fighting Arrowette (sp?) and it would work.
IIRC, Superman usually walks all-over Grundy, but you never about the next time.

Who's Judd Winnick? An unpopular writter at DC who used to write one of the Superman titles pre-IC. He's currently writting Green Arrow.

Clark could face off against.......
.......Kev (nemesis of The Authority).
Truly a battle unlike any the world has seen.
Maybe have Superman accidentally mangle one of Kev's "long odds" horses...

Grundy needs to be made stronger. I was watching Justice League today & Superman walked all over Grundy. Even though Grundy got some hits in, it didn't even really faze Superman. But, Grundy was at his strongest in JLU once he was resurrected yet again by those kids who were playing with magic.

Gog had great potential and a unique rivalry with Supes. I'd like to see him return, minus whatever the hell happened in his last appearance in ACTION.
Old-school Parasite is great. I know he's about to return, but we've got to see him as a real threat on a regular basis.
Metallo is great, but they've got to give him an upgrade.
And of course, Titano. A giant monkey that fires Kryptonite rays out of his eyes! The beauty of the concept is enough to bring me to tears.

As far as Parasite goes, I've always liked the way he was portrayed in Superman: TAS. It's too bad that he can't keep whatever power he absorbs.
As for Metallo, what kind of upgrade do you have in mind?

Agreed and agreed. Metallo needs a red kryptonite heart, and Titano needs to assemble a team of super-powered gorillas of regular size to dogpile Superman while he stares at him. Nothing's cooler than super-powered gorillas.
And Preus, Gog was the villain from The Kingdom. He has an irrational hatred of Superman and wants only to kill him in every incarnation, through seperate timelines and alternate realities. Sort of like Doomsday, but with a brain and tactics.

Thanks for the info JZ.
As for Metallo, giving him a red kryptonite heart would be great, especially if in some weird way it tripled all of his powers & were to give him new powers.

You're thinking of Magog. Gog was the younger, more vicous "Superman" to the anti-heroes in Kingdom Come.
Jack Zodiac

No, that was Magog. Gog was the villain from The Kingdom, the one who hunted down Superman, and the one who showed up in Austens's run on Action. Magog was the one who killed The Joker in Kingdom Come and replaced Superman.

I'd like to see a few villains from Smallville be used in the comics such as Aldar, Jeremiah Holdsclaw, Baern, and Nam-Ek. DC making up some totally new villains wouldn't hurt either but they'd have to be really good.

Nothing's cooler than super-powered gorillas.Oh, man. It would be awesome if, instead of Kryptonite rays, Titano had the ability to shoot indestructible, superstrong monkeys out of his eyes. They'd be sentient, of course, so they could act as a mouthpiece for their mute master afterwards.
As for Metallo, the Red K power source would be pretty neat. But I would honestly be satisfied if they just made him a little smarter.
