There's different Brainiacs. Even in the comics he's shown up with different powers at different times, and the Brainiac that came from the future had a whole new set of abilities.
In general it's safe to say he can do stuff with computers and machines.

He's very smart, oddly enough.

The Brainiac, whichever is roaming the Galaxy right now, does he have the Mental powers? or the Computer powers? Are his energy blasts strong? How strong is he?

Well, right now, there is no Brainiac. The last one died during Our Worlds at War. That was Brainiac 13, and on top of twelfth-level Coluan intelligence, he had control over nanotechnology based on his programing, making him like a computer virus that could affect anything. He completely changed Metropolis into a self-sustaining city of the future.

So Brainiac 13 could basically overide anything operating mechanically? Like could he take over Vision or something (If he was a DC character at that time just an example)

Yes he could've; he took over Red Tornado, Hourman, etc. Also, the Coluan Brainy is still out there somewhere...he was in the Titans/Outsiders x-over in which Superboy and Indigo got mind-controlled, which was way after OWAW, and I believe he survived.

Actually, (a) Brainiac showed up in Birds of Prey 72 and 73 in 2004, long after Our Worlds at War ended. And then there was his appearance in the crossover dupersuper mentioned.

Does he like mentally take over machines? or is it by touch?

The Brainiac featured in Justice is the best version of him I think. He is organic and cruel. And SPOILERS: labotomized Aquaman. END OF SPOILERS.

I think he has to connect to them. Brainiac is often portrayed with lots of little connection tenticles protuding from varios parts of his body. Where as Cyborg Superman can sort of just jump into machines as an energy.
