I've dabbled with the 'Kai.

Other then Dir en Grey, Blue Wolf and DJ Ozma, I'm kinda limited.

I'm a big Kahimi Karie fan, and I liked Puffy before they went all mainstream.

I've been watching a lot of jpop on youtube. Like Koda Kumi and Sonim. Jang Nara is cute.
Listen to kpop like baby v.o.x. too.

Shonen Knife, Boredoms, Guitar Wolf, 5'6'7'8's, Electric Eel Shock.

The J Pop imports are expensive, otherwise I would try it out more often. I used to have crushes on Pink Lady when I was a kid. Hated that Jeff guy. ;)

Hadn't thought of looking for J Pop on youtube. Doh!

I mostly like j-rock, but I love Gilles de Rais to death.
They are very underrated IMO. I also like Baiser, Phantasmagoria, etc.
I used to like Lareine, Malice Mizer ( mostly Klaha ), and Rentrer en Soi before they got heavy.

Like I said last time we had this thread (what, a month ago?), I adore Kahimi Karie. She's one of the most progressive artists of the twenty-first century, comparable to Björk, or even Scott Walker.

I love anime based J-pop mainly.......have a ton of anime themes

As far as the commercial stuff, Ayumi Hamasaki and Puffy Amiyumi are my choices.
But , what i really love is the Osaka girl J-punk:
MIKABOMB AND SHONEN KNIFE, in particular

So far my favorite Japanese performer is Susumu Hirasawa (Who did songs such as Forces and Sign, and Sign 2 for the Berserk Anime and Game), though I have no idea if his music is even J-Pop. Besides him, I suppose it's more of the songs, like T.M. Revolution's "Heart of Sword" or Gackt's "Redemption"
