I just thought I'd go ahead and make this thread. :D

I have to say, this is a great show but some improvements could be made. We should be getting some kickass fights, not just some superpowered guys throwing each other around over & over. It was okay for the first few seasons but now since Clark has gained more experience with his powers he should be throwing punches & should be using his other powers such as heat vision. From what I hear the budget for Smallville isn't very large. My suggestion would be that they should find ways to get more money for the show so that we can be treated to better fights with better special effects (maybe a Smallville video game would suffice?). As for season six, so far it's been good. I'm really looking forward to the episode 'Justice', it looks like it's going to be really action packed & has a good story to it. Hopefully in the new episodes Lana will find out that the baby she's carrying is Clark's & she'll actually have the baby. Anyway, I'm hoping that in the next season Clark will finally dawn the cape. What the writers should do is have Clark spend the absolute last season of the show being Superman. This way, they'll have shown us his journey to Superman & can show us his first year as Superman whilst fighting superpowered badguys such as Bizarro, Metallo, and Parasite.

I've been watching this show since last season and I have to say I'm rather impressed on the progress it has made over the seasons. Although a lot of things are not in the comic books I'd have to say that if they had to redo Superboy/Superman all over this would be a good way to do so. The same characters are in place (along with some that don't belong) but the same basics are kept as Clark discovers his powers and grows up into Superman. What I've really liked about this season is the integration of other places/characters from the DCU. In one episode where Lex/Oliver Queen were fighting against their old friend from high school, the guy that got killed in the car explosion mentioned Gotham City. You also have the multiple references to Star City with Oliver Queen/Green Arrow being introduced this season. This season has made me wonder if there will be spin-offs from Smallville. It would be pretty awesome.

By the way, the reference to Gotham City made me think about something. Clearly Clark is still in the learning stages, but in the comic books when Clark was still Superboy was Batman already roaming Gotham City? Or was Bruce Wayne off preparing to become the Batman? It makes me wonder if Batman/Superman showed up at the same time in their respective cities or if Superman showed up before Batman (or vice versa).

In current comics they showed up at almost the same time; Supes a little before Bats.

I think that Smallville needs more action but the budget is too low from what I heard. What they need to do is find some way to get a larger budget. If a game based on Smallville came out & was actually good, that'd probably get them a lot of money.
