I've always been a fan of comics, and i always admired comics of days gone by. While a sometimes current age reader,i often spend time and money reading comics of ages gone by. There`s always so much to read, and enjoy.
But sometimes while reading, some things don't make sense,or some might want to learn more about a certain event or hero.So i decided to make a thread to discuss the 3 eras of comics, personally i try to read the oldest comics i can find, mostly in a TPB method,of course. This thread is for the discussion of Golden,Silver or Bronze age comics.

V, I hate to point this out to you, but that's the entire point of this board in the first place.

That’s quite a broad topic for one thread. Are you looking to compare and contrast the three eras or what?

I dont see things as specific as this.I mostly see the "guess the classic comic cover" thread and not much else.Sure, this sub-forum may be for that purpose. But some may have a simple question they want to answer, something that may not be in a existing thread.
Like this one,i had a discussion with a member on another forum about a so called "Plantium Age" of comics, that started before the Golden Age with Superman in 1938,is this true?Is there such a Plantium era?

Usually the Platinum Age, not widely collected I suppose because of the scarcity of extant material from the era, especially in good condition, is often considered to cover the period of 1900 to 1938. Comic books certainly did not begin with the dawn of superheroes, so it is has become a necessity to denominate the era which preceded the famous Golden Age, blazoned by the trail Superman started. Dominated by cartoon strips and newspaper Sunday supplements you might have heard of the Katzenjammer Kids, the Yellow Kid, Little Nemo, Mutt and Jeff, Happy Hooligan and Buster Brown. Also there would be lots of funny animal strips appearing, especially in the 30's. I'm not an expert, but I suspect even early sci-fi and fantasy works like Flash Gordon, Prince Valiant and Buck Rogers would belong to the Platinum Age as well. A lot wonderful stuff from comics early years can be counted as among the gems of this pioneering era.

At this time I don't see much need or demand for a generic, off-topic thread. If you want to ask a specific question, you can just start a new thread about it.
And this site (http://www.platinumagecomics.org/index.php) has some more information on the Platinum Age.
