There have been several stories I have read that I would like to paticipate in. And that is part of the charm of comic books and fantasy literature in general:escapism, a trait shared with video games. Which storylines would you like to see recieve the video game treatment?
My list:
The Thanos Quest. In this one, You would basically be Thanos for the first half of the game. You would start out at the infinity well, recieve Death's challenge, and basically begin. You would have access to Thanos's private planet and his ships. But in all honesty, for this game to really be difficult, there would have to be some added challenges. Thanos accumulated the Gems relatively quickly and easily; a game would have to be substatially more difficult. Because Thanos got more powerful with every gem he collected, in the game he should face ever more fierce enemies to match hisincreased power. A person like champion wouldn't go down easily; he would constantly regenerate and only get stronger and more durable, thus making you have to work harder to beat him, or at least stronger. To beat him, you would need strategy. He would be the type of character who would constantly attack you, putting you on the defensive.
The second half, should you assemble the Infinity Gauntlet, you can become a marvel super hero (any one of say, forty playable characters) and fight against Thanos. I think I would make it Multi-player at this point.
Second: Dissassembled
Third: Kree-Skrull War
Forth Maximum Carnage(updated).

The "Ending Battle" storyline from a few year back across all the Superbooks. He ran the gauntlet of all his greatest villains.

There really isn't enough sustained action in most comics to make a decent video game. I mean, MUA had to bastardize dozens of storylines to come up with a decent adventure.

In the future I think we're going to see more and more episodic gaming.

I believe that model would work much better with super hero material than the current mode of one all-inclusive game.

For example, I could get into an episodic game series that recreates early issues of classic Marvel series with me as the gamer getting to control the hero(es) in the battles and action sequences within.

Each game could be five bucks and offer about an hour so so gameplay. Whether or not enough people would buy into the model to keep it viable is a good question, but short bursts of superhero action approximating classic issues of classic series is something I for one would like to see, though I know the likelihood is very, very small.

I don't know, I've been doing some research into that, and apparently episodic gaming is failing pretty miserably at this point.
