Batman is considered the peak of human perfection, achievable through intense training. As such, would he be able to get gold medals in the following Olympic Sports, against the best in history of each sport?

1. 100m sprint
2. 100m freestyle swimming
3. Weight Lifting
4. Boxing
5. High Jump

*Pictures Michael Keaton lifting a 200kg weight*

Think it depends which version of Batman we're talking about.

I can picture the awards ceramony now. Batman, stanind on the 1st Place platform, A billion gold medals on his chest, the old school adam west theme song playing in the background, and batman simply stands and broods, with his cloak covering his body.

Then when they ask how he won all the events, he asks if they are retarded.

He's The Goddamn Batman. It what he does.

Thanks for confirming that, K Von Doom.

Definitely all golds, except maybe swimming, but I'm just not sure about that because I've never seen him swim, other people probably know better.

Although I'm pretty sure Ian Thorpe would have something to say about any arguments about a land-based fictional superhero beating him.

He's peak human, physically and mentally.

I highly doubt that he doesnt how how to swim.

You are better off asking a Batman fan who might have scans or know of a time where Bruce was shown to swim. But other than that his other physical feats suggest that if he can swim, no doubt he can do it damn well.

Nevermind this....

The heaviest snatch of all time, 216kg, is owned by Antonio Krastev of Bulgaria. Leonid Taranenko of the then Soviet Union holds the heaviest clean & jerk of all time, 266.0kg. These lifts have yet to be beaten in competition.

I take it batman lifts this everyday 20 times a day.

Of course, he'll probably want to keep being the new champion of the "clean jerk" quiet...

Of course, he'll probably want to keep being the new champion of the "clean jerk" quiet...His skill in that actually played a role in an Adam West fight. If memory's serving my dad right, Joker grabs and rolls a hefty-sized weight at Batman, who catches it as it's rolling toward him, clean-and-jerks, and hurls it back, taking down Joker's goons.

I've gotta see this show.

He also swam a bit in Knightfall and the begining of No man's land...

It actually depends on who's writing. My personal favorite interpretation was (I think) a comment from Denny O'Neil. Basically he said Batman might not win the Boston Marathon, but if he didn't he'd be in the top 5 finishers somewhere.

That's basically how I prefer to view him. He might not win gold in every event, but he'd probably win -a- medal in all of them, and gold in a few.

Of the above, I'd say he absolutely takes gold in Boxing unless Ted Grant is fighting him. He takes gold in High Jump unless Nightwing is competing, and takes gold in the 100m sprint.

He -might- take the swimming too, but I'm betting someone could outdo him on the weightlifting. Some of those powerlifter guys are just unreal (no pun intended).

After finding out he's not allowed to compete while wearing a mask and cape, he's gets into an arguement with the judges and is disqualified.
