If Marvel had done this, the internet would be splitting in half.

From DC:

VERTIGO ANNOUNCES CONTENTS CHANGES FOR JACK OF FABLES ISSUES

Vertigo's JACK OF FABLES #7 (NOV060299), previously slated to feature the conclusion of the 2-part story "Jack Frost," instead will present the start of "Jack of Hearts," a 4-part story set in Las Vegas. "Jack of Hearts" was originally slated to start in JACK OF FABLES #8.

Part two of "Jack of Hearts" now will appear in JACK OF FABLES #8 (DEC060299). This issue is solicited in the December Previews (Volume XVI #12) and is scheduled to arrive in stores on February 28.

Part three of "Jack of Hearts" will appear in JACK OF FABLES #9 (JAN070373). This issue is solicited in the January Previews (Volume XVII #1) and is scheduled to arrive in stores on March 28.

Part four of "Jack of Hearts" will appear in JACK OF FABLES #10, followed by the concluding chapter of "Jack Frost" in JACK OF FABLES #11.

But the retailers are happy that they have product to sell and that's all that counts, right?

So, they are pausing a two part storyline to interject a four part storyline? This is making my brain hurt...

For some reason, I keep flashing back to "Todd Can't Count."

Wow... I mean, DC do some alright comics, but man, I'm having a hard time understanding why they do this shit... yet Jim Lee can take 10 months between...

...ah nevermind.

Does this just mean that Willingham scaled a two part story back to one issue at the last minute? Decompression be damned!!!

Edit: Okay, I need to read things closer before I make comments on them. That's just goofy. It's gonna read wierd as hell in singles, more than likely. Fortunatly, the series is good enough, I'll forgive it.

Good move. Although Augie it seems you disagree? Book ships on time, people get a story, comic shops make money. Man, real business is great to see! (only mildly sarcastic with that last line!)

My word.

Now all the true-to-life continuity and realism of talking fairy tale characters will be shredded by this inexplicable interruption.
