The Hulk may have vanished, but his villains remain. This January, its She-Hulk’s job to stop them. CBR News spoke with the “She-Hulk” creative team of Dan Slott and Rick Burchett about the book.

I'm looking forward to the "Planet Without A Hulk" story. She-Hulk is one of my favorite books, so I'm glad there are long-term plans for it.

Hell, if Slott were writing "Thanos and Squirrel Girl Watch Paint Dry" I'd probably give it a shot.

Really great news that Burchett is staying on the book. I didn't enjoy his style when I first came across it (AF! 13, if I'm not mistaken. Wow, I'm old), but I've definitely become a fan over the years. Plus, the lack of a steady penciller over the past year was starting to make me lose some confidence in v.2 sticking around, although I'd have to say they have done a great job bringing in brilliant artists like Paul Smith and Burchett himself to pinch-hit for a spell.

Burchett's art looks like a weird hybrid of Juan Bobillo and Pablo Picasso.

Still, Dan's a really good writer so it should be fun.

I admit, I was a bit sceptical when Burchett first showed up - not a lot, but a little, to do with areas like faces and use of hard shadow (and the colours not meshing as well as they could). But god damn he has hit his stride, those preview pages of #15 are some of the best I've seen in the book's history.

I'm liking what I'm hearing about the arc's ties to Planet Hulk/World War Hulk - Dan's being Mr. Integration again, growing a plot out of Civil War/Illuminati and flowing it back into WWH. I love stuff like that.

(Awesome Andy tomorrow! :D )

So, when are we gonna get TPBs for the current She-Hulk series? I have the TPBs from the last one Slott did, but they seem to be mysteriously absent now.

There has been one out already.

Super-human law I think it is called.

March 7th is the date Amazon has for TPB #4, 'Laws of Attraction', covering She-Hulk vol.2 #6-13. The previous three TPBS - 'Time Trials' (vol.2 #1-5) and 'Single Green Female' and 'Superhuman Law' (vol.1 #1-6 and #7-12 respectively) - should be available. If your comic store doesn't have them, politely kick their arse until they get them in :D

I was wrong, Time trials is the one I meant.

Why Oh Why cant this be the new Mighty Avengers team.

Because Marvel doesn't want Mighty Avengers to be cancelled after 8 issues or just barely-survive every month as a low-selling niche book.
They want the book to be a big hit, and thus they didn't give it to Slott.

The dude wasn't talking about the creative team, he was talking about the cast.

So what does Slott have to do with it?

I really thought he was talking about the creative team.
But in any case, Ms.Marvel and Iron Man will be part of MA...Reed Richards and Samson imo don't fit the Avengers and She-hulk, well...She-Hulk is currently a joke so I don't think that's the kind of vibe they want in a book like Mighty Avengers.

I agree with your assesment of Reed, unless he is the team leader. That is where he works best.
Samson on the other hand I think would fit in to an Avengers team dynamic very well. Plus after seeing the depiction of Moonstone in the Thunderbolts I would like to see a moral psych in a team. Would maybe make for an interesting story for him to have to talk his way out of a hostage situation perhaps.

I completely disagree with your assesment of She-Hulk, but I doubt you will change your mind. Just have to agree to disagree.

Oh, and what about Pym and Tigra.

Someone please contact Marvel and have this quote published on the cover of the next issue. Please. :)

I've been enjoying She-Hulk but I've always been buying it inspite of the art, not because of it.

Over in the sexiest marvel girl thread she hulk gets a few mentions, but from Bobilo's bulbous arms to Rick's plain-ness, I don't think I've seen a panel where I though She Hulk looked sexy in this new series. Not that the book needs to be a t&a fest, but the main portagonist could at least look good.

Still I've been enjoying the story more than enough to overlook the art. Hope the series keeps going for a long time.

I've already got Superhuman Law and Single Green Female, and said as much already. I was just wondering why there haven't been any since.

And so now I find out it's because my LCS has ignored my standing order for all She-Hulk trades. Thus, I did not get Time Trials.

Out of curiosity, how much of Slott's She-Hulk have you read?

I can't believe that She-Hulk may gain a role in WWH next summer!!! :D

Well, wether it's a major or minor role, I hope that it a big impact towards the Marvel Universe and also an impact towards those who send her cousin away. :D

I havent been too impressed with the new volume of She-Hulk, I mean its well written and all..but it's missing that special pizzazz found in the previous volume's issue 4 , SM/HT and GLA....

...but he's gonna be writing Wolverine for the first time, and a bit of the Planet Hulk storyline continues here so I'm picking this one up...
