So the Makeout songs thread got me thinking.

making out is nice and good, but the fun is when you are actually "doing the deed". . and not too surprisingly, I actually have several mix tapes that I put on sometimes to help "facilitate" lovemaking.

(as they used to say on Bandstand, "it's got a good beat, and you can "dance" to it")

so here are some of mine. . . what are some of yours?

1) Anything by KMFDM but in particular, the "ANGST" album. . the whole thing has a fantastic beat.

2) The Neon Judgement "Chinese Black"

3) Ministry . . "The Land of Rape and Honey", "Over the Shoulder"

4) Nine Inch Nails . . "Terrible Lie", "Down In It"

5) Front 242 . . "Never Stop", "Tragedy (for you)"

6) My Life w/ the Thrill Kill Kult . .pretty much the entire "I see good spirits and I see Bad Spirits" album, "Sexplosion", "Sex on Wheels", "First Kut"

7) Cabaret Voltaire . . . "Sensoria"

Well, that really depends if I have time or patience to turn on the stereo. When me and my wife do it, we want to do it.

I like listening to really violent music when I make love. However, I don't think my girlfriend is really down with listening to Dead Skin Mask while we get it on, so usually I don't really worry about music.

I did, however, put together a mix of metal instrumentals to have on the stereo while we got it on, but this was soley to cover up the noise we were making and not to enhance the experience.

It sounds like a joke but it isn't...
"Ten Seconds To Love" - Motley Crue... used to drive my college girlfriend absolutely wild (in a very very very good way)

The Afghan Whigs set the mood pretty well in most instances ("Faded" always seemed to work out all right). Or for a quiet evening, a few songs from Nick Cave's The Boatman's Call or some Sondre Lerche worked quite nicely. Now The Stooges' Fun House, now that's a good time.

Oddly enough, Big Black's Songs About F#¢king, not particularly effective.

addendum: Should also add "Didn't I" by Darondo. It's smooth and slinky and kinda like Al Green.
