I'd have to check my files to be sure, but I think Olney was booted from my message board for the third and final time just after the column ran.

Anyway, I was not aware of the problems the other guests were having with Olney at the time I wrote the review. As I stated way earlier in this thread, my experience was a good one...through no doing of Olney's. I got to spend a wonderful weekend with my son and met some friends, old and new.

Olney (or someone) paid for our motel room, which was of poor quality, but about what I expect for such a small venue.

He had promised to pay my mileage, but, knowing he had to be losing his shirt on the show, I told him to donate that money to whatever charity that his auction was allegedly supporting. I never followed up on whether or not he ever made that donation.

Most NDAs are to protect buisiness secrets, that is, the nature of projects being worked upon, the characters involved, the plotlines under development, and other such actual industry knowledge.

Speaking of you, your failure to pay him, or the company's repute, unless specifically adressed in an NDA (And even then, the NDA would have to be very carefully worded to hold up in court) is not covered.

Since this is all he has done, I'd say it's up to you, again, the burden of proof upon the acusser.

We live in an 'innocent until proven guilty society, which means that your responsibility, as acusser, is to in fact have proof, beyond a reasonable doubt, that JT's words are in fact in breach of contract, at which point, your contract would have had to include the words

"I, the before named and herto signed, do solemnly swear not to speak any word in any public forum about Rick Olney, my interactions with Rick Olney, or my interactions with Tightlip Entertainment(TLE) or any of their subsidiaries. Any statement issued is in breach of this agreement."

or some slightly more well defined wording. Not only that, but the dissolution of the original Tightlip May render all NDAs and contracts null and void, due to the company which filed them being no longer an entity. You, on the other hand, as the primary participant in the company, may still be held culpable for failure of payments, and other such breaches of contract.

Actually, if I recall correctly, it's not enough to have permission for st judes, you actually have to file it with them. If they don't have the records, yours are suspect, and it is up to you to work with them to avoid lawsuit, by providing copies of your records. Failure to do so in a reasonable manner results in lawsuit.

Which is what the NYAG's name is being indicated. You see, charity fraud is a criminal case, thus, it's up to them to collect proof, and prosecute the case. They're the acusser in this case, not Matt, since it's criminal, it's the state's responsibility to persue it, not an individuals. This is the key difference between civil and criminal law.

Well, filing false complaints and instigating such an action, I'm told, is already cause for legal action by the NYAG's office.
