From Didio (http://www.comicon.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=36;t=005817),

Looking to the future, DiDio teases details about a new Bat Lash western series, drawn by legendary artist John Severin, with plotting handled by Bat Lash's co-creator, Sergio Aragones. "Sergio created the character and we wanted his input on this new series."

It'd be nice to get a Showcase volume of the original Bat Lash series, but it only lasted 8 issues. Maybe his series can be appended onto another character's volume, the way 'Outlaw' ended up in Jonah Hex's book.

Yes! More Westerns. DC was a pinnacle of variety storytelling long ago, and now they're finally paying more attention to their space stories, so Western books weren't far behind. Can't wait to check it out.

All for it. Back in the day, DC's war, horror, and western titles were THE very best comics being produced. I loved Bat-Lash, big time. Maybe they just ought to release a trade collecting the original run to drum up some support for a new series. I'd buy it. Oh, Lord, would I buy it! John Severin, though, seems an odd choice for artist. Not that he isn't freakishly talented; I just can't see his particular style working with Bat Lash. Mind you, Nick Cardy's original run's going to be impossible to top no matter who they get in, so who knows. . .

I'm all for this book. I have found myself liking more diverse storytelling genre's more and more thanks to big company wide events.
