is it out of continuity? or did they just give up on the were-shark pirate thing?

There's a editor's note that it comes after #10. So right before she hooks up with the Outsiders and does the were-shark thing.

Not sure what happened, imagine there was some delay on the art for the second part of the were-shark thing, so they had this ready.

Better than waiting and releasing it late...

thanks I just flipped through it and didn't get it since it seemed unrelated.

was it any good?

Yeah, it was alright. It was a set-up for the new Terra mini-series by Gray and Palmiotti, but it was still pretty charactercentric on Kara and summed up pretty much the last four issues or so in one tight issue.

I think so -- better than most of this run, which I've given up on at least twice but keep being lured back to. *sigh*

Being a big fan of Amanda Connor's art probably helps, of course. Which I am.

As a single issue, #12 seemed to lack everything that people who hate the book dislike. As a nod to the people who dropped the book, this may be a single issue you would like to own.
