Will the Watchers show up soon, any appearances by the Grandmaster or Collector. Does anyone like Galactus to destroy The Living Death that Walks.

I like the Annihilation series. Fast and scripted well. I think Thanos will appear in the final issue. Very curious about those beings, Tenebrous and Aegis. Maybe there will be a comic discussing their origins.

In reference to age, are the Watchers older than the Elders.

Who is Skreet? Where's Adam Warlock?

I could be wrong, but I believe Giffen has said that while the Watchers may not show up in Annihilation, they're aware of what's going on. The Grandmaster has problems of his own at the moment, concluding in the recent Thunderbolts arc. Several of the other Elders appeared in the Annihilation prologue mini's, mostly in the Ronan arc.

The Watchers, to the best of my knowledge, are not as old as the Elders. They're ever-so-slightly younger as a race than any of the races the Elders originate from.

Skreet was originally the sidekick for the cosmic merc Lunatik, but was imprisoned and rescued by Thanos. Warlock is off in parts unknown at the current time.

Maybe all the world destoryers of our universe -- Galactus, Phoenix (in some sort incarnation), etc will band together to defeat the wave...i have a fealing Thanos is stringing Annihilus along since he's ususally very selfish about destorying things..."if i can't do it no one can!" kind of thing:cool:

I think the Watchers are older as a "cosmic group"; IIRC, it was one of the early Watchers who decided against destroying a then-gestating Galactus. He was already a Watcher at the time (hence his decision not to interfere).

The Elders and Watchers are probably around the same "age" chronologically (at least the first Watchers), as the Elders were members of some of the first sentient races to evolve (and whose civilizations were subsequently destroyed, the Elders being the sole survivors).

Speaking of which, it would be kind of cool to see an Elder who was the sole survivor of a homeworld destroyed by Galactus. Just thinking out loud.

are the Celestials older than the Watchers;

Its hard to say. Galactus is the oldest being in the universe, simply becuase he is older than Eternity and Death who started at 0. He was not active to start with but he was there. Elders are younger than G but are older than the Watchers by a bit. The Celestials it is impossible to say. There have been mentions of them being what Galactus will become when the universe ends, but that was only stated once in a recap page at the end of a FF book I think and has never been supported. We dont know much about the Celestials except they are tools of Eternity really. They are likely nearly as old as creation. They might be from another dimension that is older. We dont know.

Depends on how you want to look at it. Galan of Taa is older than the universe. Galactus, however, didn't technically appear until after gestating in that cocoon for a couple epochs or so. I'm not positive, but I believe a Watcher witnessed Galactus' rebirth.

The Celestials are an enigma. Rumor has it they are energy beings encased in armour. Possibly the last survivors of their race somehow gifted to cosmic status. Truly awesome cosmic beings.

Do they work for Eternity? Who knows. Truly the power they possess is awesome.

Elders are over five billion years old. The Watchers and Celestials might be older. Galactus, Eternity and Death are the oldest beings in the cosmos. The Living Tribunal's origin is said to even predate the universe itself

As Ive understood it, the Watchers were the very first race.

I thought it had been established that Chaos Mites were the oldest race?

The Elder Gods predate the Watchers.

The Elder Gods predate the Watchers.

Which Elder Gods? The group that includes Chthon, Set and Gaea? If so, that's not true. They were "born" on Earth after the Demiurge released energies upon the newly-formed planet, and Earth is still fairly young in the universe.

I think he meant the Elders in general not the Elder Gods of earth...and I remember that issue where the demiurge starting sucking the gods back into his being...pretty weird
