Yup! Thank you Warren Ellis! I just set up my account, and although it doesn't appear you can do too much yet, it's kinda neat! Check it out:

And go set one up for yourself! :D

I wonder what they'll do with the system. I love that all the Ellis-ites overloaded the system yesterday.

I saw this, but...

What's it for, exactly? I was thinking about registering, just to, you know, be with the people, but what do people do with these things?

So far.... not too much other than make friends. :p But there are spaces to host your own comics and track your fave comics that will be up "soon" so that's cool. :D

OK, I'm in.

I used the usual "AugieDB" handle.

I'll be your friend. =)

Now you need a pic! This thing looks to have some potential. Wish I had some more time to play with it.

Not that people here know me, but I joined to meet others and further pimp my book.

An interesting side note. A few weeks ago I sold a copy of Amazing Spider-Man #300 on Ebay to someone who lived in Toronto like I do.

He said he had approached some people to do a My Space web site for comics and that the people stole his idea and were starting a website called www.comicspace.com.

He said his site was to be called www.thecomicspace.com. I recently heard from him and he says he is launching soon and his site is going to blow away the www.comicspace.com.

Soul - thanks for the update. When that's up I'll get a page there too! :D

Ah, the glories of rapid web development. . .

He gets two demerits for table based design and Shockwave interface on his temp page, though. . . Not to mention using plural instead of possessive ("WEBS") and not titling his page correctly past "index."

But points for using a Comicraft font!

Sigh..I must be getting old. I've never understood what all the hubub was about myspace, and now comic readers have created their own offshoot? Can someone please try and convince me why I should spend the time and effort to sign up?

I never played on myspace before, but this seems comic-centric. Not too many bells & whistles yet, but I'll post updates as I get them.
