Augie - would you hire Dave from The Long Box to do your OP/Ed funny page at the end? If so, ya got my vote!

(that is... if you want us to vote for ya!) :D

I'd find some way to include Dave in the magazine. He needs a column to remind people that WIZARD can still be fun without being puerile.

Sure, go ahead and vote. I don't think it'll make a lick of difference, but it'll be fun to rabble rouse across the 'net for a few hours.

The real question is, if they offered you the job, would you take it?

I have no fear whatsoever about them offering me anything. Not even an interview.

On the other hand, the truth is that my current job is very tentative these days, and I am open to all sorts of new career paths right now. The current path isn't all that promising at the moment. Something in writing or editorial is very attractive to me, and I would consider it.

I'm pulling for you, Augie.

Hope everything works out for the best.

You deserve the Wizard job.

Just curious: Would you relocate to Congers? Do you live near there already?

Well, you give us all hope by even considering it. My email to Wizard HR has been sent!

I actually live about a half hour away from Congers. And I have in-laws who live right in town over there.

Thanks for all the support, guys. I'm going to officially kill Ron when this is all over if Wizard makes contact. ;-) I'm very passive/aggressive on the whole thing.

Well, there can be no clearer God-given sign that you were born for the job.

Screw your passive-aggressive reservations. You have no choice in the matter.

It's a Dalai Lama kind of thing.

Well, Ron is now officially my favorite of the iFanboy trio.

Not only would I personally get a subscription, but I'd make sure the library got one as well. Heck, I'd even delete old posts where I talked trash about Wizard.

Augie in '08!!!

P.S. How hard did Jonah laugh when he saw this?

Josh is still my favorite. But, then, who can tell those two apart?

::duck grin run::

No word from Jonah on this insanity yet.

Back in the day I contributed to The Comics Journal. I soon learned to my dismay to get published there it really helped if you hatedMarvel and DC and didn't think anything decent had been published in the U.S. since Art Speilgelman did MAUS.

I'm all for someone--ANYONE--trying to put WIZARD back on the straight and readable. I gave it up over two years ago and I don't think I've missed a thing. Unless jokes about flatulence counts.

I don't know WHY you'd want to put yourself through it Augie, but I've got your back on this. It would be a refreshing change to have someone writing for WIZARD who was a fan and not a fanboy.

P.S. How hard did Jonah laugh when he saw this?Rather hard, but then the cold reality of Augie for President set in, and well, the next thought in my mind was:

Jonah in '08!!!

It would be a battle royale. Oh, the fun.

Augie, whadaya say? I'll announce my candidacy with the Dems, you got the Repubs -- we could school those older farts on how to run a proper debate.

Jonah: "Look, I really don't have any opinion on health care or education, but clearly more of you need to be watching 'Heroes' on Monday night's at 9:00 on NBC. If the world watched 'Heroes,' we'd all be a little bit happier."

Augie: "Look, I really don't have any opinion on health care or education, but clearly more of you need to be reading the work of Carl Barks. If the world read more Uncle Scrooge Barks stories, we'd all be a little bit happier. Oh, and read 'Savage Dragon,' too."

You'll win -- you have a better and more popular website.

I'm a dead man.

-Augie, vote Larsen!
