Unless anger is equivalent to willpower, the ring would ignore me.
Probably not. I have the heart, but not even close to the willpower.

Ditto. Unless I fit into the Guy Gardner category of being such a giant ass that my anger and ego equal whatever someone like Hal Jordan has in willpower, I'd be for diddly. Although I'd like to point out that most Lanterns who exhibit that kind of willpower also have quirks you could equate with weak willpower, like Hal's addiction to the ladies or Guy not being able to think about what he's about to say before he says it.

Probably not.
It was said in Rebirth, I think, (or something that was out around that time) that the rings don't run on cynicism, which I have in abundance.

I have nothing that even resembles willpower. Forget it!

I'm definitely a righteous, moral kind of guy, and I've got willpower to spare. As for the fear issue, I only get scared when I get comfortable. If I have nothing to lose, I tend to say "fuggit". I'm not even remotely athletic, but I suppose my ring would compensate for that.

If G'Nort can be a GL then I sure as hell can, too.

I have willpower but I'm a coward. The ring won't pick me.

Willpower, Check. Bravery, Check. Morals ......?

I'm brave and not easily rattled or anything. I can stand in the face of danger and not really let fear overtake me.
OTOH, my willpower, on a daily basis, sucks ass. It really does.
So, I would say no.

Ha ha, no. If anything, the ring would probably just spontaneously whip up a boot costruct to my groin for daring to think it. My willpower is barely sufficient to get my lazy ass out of bed in the morning, and I've been known to sleep on the couch because I saw a centipede crawling around in my room.
That said, I'm not sure if anyone on the planet REALLY qualifies. I mean, people have accused Hal Jordan of being a cookie cutter, square jawed uberhero type, but you'd almost have to be if you were planning to take a job like that and NOT crack. Think about it. Patrolling 1/3600th of the entire universe? Never mind that that's logistically impossible. You'd better cope with loneliness real well, because you're going to spend a lot of time without company out there on space. You'd need a completely open mind, because you're going to be running into things that are completely alien to your experience on a regular basis. And you'd need either a childlike sense of wonder or a slavish devotion to abstract notions of honor and duty, because those are the only two things I can think of that would keep thousands of closet egomaniacs specifically chosen for being the most stubborn and willful souls in the friggin UNIVERSE from killing wach other for more than ten minutes, let alone 3 billion years, all the while putting up with a bunch of irritating Smurfs who expect their orders to be obeyed without question.
I know some pretty good folks. But no one I've ever met comes anywhere close to fitting this description.

Hey now, those centipedes are some creepy little bastards. But if it will help get my badass account out of the red, I DID once kill one with a samurai sword.

Nope.
Your talking to a man that trained his son to get the remote for daddy when it is only 2 feet away.
I figure he was all that energy might as well use it to save mine.
No I don't have the willpower.

I'd be way down the list as I'm too much like Guy Gardner, but without the bowl haircut. He has a problem with authority, is outspoken and never shies away from an uncomfortable subject, rushes in and then sometimes thinks about it, and thinks Hal is mostly full of himself, and I share a couple of those traits. :)
Sadly, I would be a better candidate for the Sinestro Corps. The Guardians aren't really looking to hand out godly power to schizophrenics.

I guess I could, but, as of now, I don't feel like getting mad, dying and becoming an spectre, just to come back years later pretending that nothing happened.

But courage? - hmmm..... I need to work on that one :o

Well, look at my title, so yes I'd like to think so.
Judging by the willpower requirements as seen in Green Lantern: Rebirth when Oliver Queen tried to use the ring... I doubt any human alive could be an effective Green Lantern.
