...
John Stewart lives! Maybe, just maybe, he'll even do something important in a later arc!
I'm not insanely hyped for the book - and anyway, I get everything long after everyone else does because my bookstore is weird like that - but it seems like it could be cool.

Waid, Perez, and wild story arc charting. This is THE book for me!

Would you recommend an anthology title like the upcoming 'Brave and The Bold' to a DC-illiterate? ('Kingdom Come' and 'Sandman' are the only DC-related stuff I've read.)
Waid and Pérez are a quality guarantee, but I'm not sure I'll be able to truly appreciate an anthology about characters I barely know.

Sure; you gotta' start somewhere. I'm sure you'll be filled in on what's important from the past for this story, and really, you probably already know the basics of Batman, GL, and Supergirl.

Waid's pretty good about explaining who characters are and what makes them tick. And Perez's art is the sh!t. And hey, if you get confused, that's what Wikipedia's for. :)

"...the idea is that every arc needs to tell you something new about the DC universe that you didn't know before.”
Sold! Also, anything that features Blue Beetle with a Green Lantern, or Supergirl actually being a superhero, should be at the very least an interesting read.
