I heard a rumor that there was a Toyfare issue that showed previews of the upcoming Benes-based JLA action figures...does anyone have any pics they could post, or tell me what issue I might find them in? Thanks!

Haven't heard either, but I'd buy a Red Tornado figure and perhaps Dr. Impossible.

I dont know if you've seen it, but they have a very good Red Tornado figure in the Alex Ross Justice line.

That's cool. I'll have to look for that. Been enjoying the book.

This adapting figures directly from a specific artist and story-arc is kindah' hit and miss. I thought that the Identity Crisis ones didn't work out so well. And Tim Sale versions of the Bat characters, which look great in 2-D, look off somehow in 3-D. Same with the Hellboy figures done in Mignola style. Great idea, but not sure if they translate so well from the source material.
So, Benes (who I don't even like in 2-D) action figures doesn't excite me so much.

BTW, there will be action figures of the Superheroes with armor. I saw the Aquaman one (with the armor from OWaW). Superman supposedly will have a "Torquasm-Vo Armor". We'll see...

Those figures are uglier than the drawings they're based on. Ick.

I guess you don't like the whole Torquasm-Vo/Rao stuff, do you?
I think it's a very nice way to see Superman having his own Krptonian traditions and disciplines.
We'll have to see if it's brought back to the comics, though. And in which way.
