View Full Version : What team should Iceman join next

Bobby has been a Defender an X-man and a Champion but there are other places Bobby could join, what team would you like to see Bobby join next and why.

Would you like to see Bobby sell out the X-men and join the pro side as one of Earth's mightest heros. Maybe he could be the second X-man to join the Fantastic Four, or perhaps the Power Pack could use a creepy Bobby watching over them.

I like Bobby exactly where he is now. With Rogue's team, in the Conquistador (fuck, how cool is that?)

That said, in the interest of playing around, it would be fun to see him in the Loners new book. But never as a pro-registration guy. That's not Bobby.

I prefer him where he is now, with Carey. But if has to join any other team, it would be Astonishing, specially if you put Archangel there, so you could have the 4 originals together.

But again, let him be with Carey.

I'm sure a lot of people are going to say they prefer him to stay in Carey's X-men, so how about we just pretend that he can't. If he must go somewhere else, where do you want him?

I voted Astonishing, because I want to see him on the same team as Beast. I almost voted Mighty Avengers for this reason, but Beast joining that team is only speculation at this point.

Either way, I want Bobby with Hank. If we could work Warren in too, that would be great. I've always liked it when these guys are together, because they make the books they're in fun.

I know this is gonna sound shocking but I think Bobby should join a reformation of the Original X-Men.

I think it's be great to get him back around his friends.

He should join Hell's Belles. I'm sure he and Briquette would get along just fine.

Just teasing. Never let anyone make you feel shame for your love of the O5.

I like him where he's at actually. Of those listed I picked Astonishing because he has histories with pretty much all of them.

He has to, and I mean has to move away from the X-men. He needs to get out and away from what is keeping him what seemed for years misserable.

The New Avengers might be a good choice...of course I do not know the line up (I don't read spoilers) But I am presuming Hercules is on the team, who is an old friend from Champion days, he would suit this team and the extra power that Iceman could bring to the team would be a great ehlp.

I think he's fine where he is now, and I honestly have no desire to see him outside the X-Men. Besides Beast, Storm, and Wolverine, there aren't many x-characters that I'd actually like to see joining the Avengers or any other Non-X team.

I ticked 'other'. I think he's in the right place at the moment, and has plenty potential to shine there. I really see no need to move him on.

New Avengers because it would be fun to team him with Spider-Man.

Actually that would be interesting, yes.

I picked "other" because I want Iceman to stay on Rogue's team...I like the way Carey has been writing him and I want to see if something is going to develop between him and Mystique...although that would be kind of weird considering he had a thing for Rogue after AOA.

I voted for Astonishing, because i'd like to see him and Beast in the same book.

But in all honesty i'd rather he stay put where he is.

I voted Fantastic Four, with the split right now an anti Fantastic Four team lead by Namor with Sue, Johnny and Bobby seems like a fun team that could take on cosmic threats.

Plus who wouldn't like to see Johnny and Bobby torment Namor for 32 pages a month.

I'd like him to stay in Mike Carey's book for now.

Astonishing X-Men is overrated anyways, in my opinion.

Holy Heck! How many people DIDN'T read that he CAN'T stay on Carey's team (hypothetically). Geez!

I would have liked to see Bobby on Peter David's old X-Factor team- back when they were funny. Jamie would have given him a run for his money, and I think he would have made an excellent companion for Guido. I can picture them on the town buying drink. I would love to hear Quicksilver dissing him.

Out of the current teams, I think the New Warriors would be a good fit. I agree that he needs some exposure outside of the X-men- if he's not with the other original 5 he needs to be elsewhere.

With all the rumors how about the Village People?

Mike Carey clearly likes the character, has an interesting vision for him, and is determined to go down that path. Why should that be interrupted prematurely, if interrupted at all? :)

I'd like to see Joss Whedon try to write this character. He needs some serious deconstruction.

I don't believe Whedon could write a good iceman. Carey on the other hand knows what he is doing.

I disagree. I think Whedon could write a very good Iceman. Bobby's right up his alley.
