Who do ya'll think he's closest too? I'm not talking sexually Beast!!!! Out of all the folks he knows who are his best friends?
My take on it is Warren and Hank. Having been together for so long I think they have a great bond.

Warren and Beast would definitely be up there. Rogue, too, I'm assuming. I could see him becoming really good friends with Cannonball in Carey's run, which would be cute.
Oh, and don't forget his greatest friend of all: Cargill.
I think Hank for sure, but they haven't really been shown together in a while. They seemed to have grown apart. Then there was his friendship with Rogue, but again they seem distant now. Maybe he will be best buds with Sam. :)

Rogue! And Cecilia back in the day. He had a cute relationship with Marrow too.

Oh I totally forgot Jean! They had such a cute brother/ sister vibe.

Hank is his best friend, but they have not interacted for quite some time now. He has been good friends with Rogue too, and now Carey seem will develop this relationship again.

I think Beast, Jean, Rogue and now Sam are the closest friends he has.

Edit: oops wrong thread...
Anyways, to comment on this topic, his closest friends have gotta be Hank and Warren. They were always good friends. I love the Jean/Bobby sister/brother vibe as well.
I would have to say that his best buds are Spider-Man and Firestar.
They aren't just pals, they are "Amazing" friends.

Ricks answer is the best so far...but...
I think in my oppinion, Angel is probably his best friend. The problem is that Iceman's friendships are rarely talked about or said upon in the comics.

I'd love to see Hank bring Bobby along on one of his "boys nights out" with Wonder Man. That could be funny.
I dunno....Hank and Warren probably. You never really see him hanging with anyone in particular.

Hell yeah. Infact Iceman needs more interaction with his old buddies from the champions and defenders as well.

I could see him becoming really good friends with Cannonball in Carey's run, which would be cute."Cute" isn't the word I'd use, but I think it'd be cool if they became friends. In fact, Bobby should interact with more former New Mutants in general.

We need to see more Hank and Bobby interaction. They barely even talk nowadays. That's just plain wrong. Admittedly, reading their days of double dating at Coffee a-go-go, or whatever it was called, are cringeworthy now, but they always did have a good bond with each other.

Hank is definitely Bobby's best friend. After that, it probably would be Warren and Jean, although, I don't think Warren was real close to Bobby from the late 80's on (that dang Apocalypse!). He had a brief strong friendship with Rogue in the mid-90's...
And thats about it!

Bobby and Sam already formed a bond about the time of Operation Zero Tolerance.
And he useta muck about with Boom Boom.
He and Kurt got on pretty well during Austen too.
How come everyone has said Warren and Hank but not Scott? Did they not get along so well?
And what about Lorna? Despite everything they have been pretty close. (I think Milligans worst mistake was putting those two back together - it's getting ridiculous her keep going back and forth between Bobby and Alex

Scott wa the boy-scout leader that the trio of Bobby, Hank, and Warren usually mocked. They're friends, but not as close.
Scott apparently gets along with hot, psychic women better than anybody.

It seems to me like Hank and Warren have grown apart from Bobby lately (I'm reading between the lines, here). Basically, both of them have moved on, and have other things besides superheroing in their life.
Bobby's still at the mansion -- he really doesn't have anything else. And that's sad.
I believe Bobby is closest to Warren Worthington III because--outside of the X-Men--Bobby is always hanging around Warren's house (i.e. Warren funded The Champions & The New Defenders). Hank, Jean & Scott seem to have too much going on in their lives; therefore, Warren & Bobby are always left out of the originial 5 X-Men after the new X-Men began in Giant Size X-Men #1.

Exactly. Which is a crying shame. The last real interaction they had that wasn't dealing with a bunch of crap was in that X-Men Unlimited issue at the end of Bobby writing his resignation letter. Hank coming to Bobby's door to tell him that he ate all of his favorite cereal. And then racing off with Bobby in pursuit. Just small character moments like that would be nice to see again. Shame that the books don't focus on stuff like this anymore. And I totally agree with Mattbib that a Boy's Night Out with Beast, Iceman, and Wonder Man would be great to see.

He was away from the mansion for a long time though. He went to college and graduated with an accounting degree. He also helped form the Champions and was a member of the New Defenders. I think he's done OK for himself. There's nothing wrong with being at the mansion while helping save the lives of those who fear and hate him. :)

He also spent a lot of time away from the mansion, taking care of his father.

By the way, we need more interaction among all originals. I can't remember when was the last time i saw Scott and Warren or Bobby or Hank and Warren or Bobby talking. CW: X-men promised that, but they barely talked to each other :(

Exactly. That was the biggest disappointment about Civil War: X-Men. The fact we finally had the O5 together for once, and it would have been nice to have seen them as the close friends they are. Instead we got a bunch of The 198, Bishop, General Lazer, and that gorram Johnny Dee.

A lot of people keep saying Warren. And while I think Warren is a good friend to Bobby, I don't think he has ever been his best friend. Warren has just been too busy most of his life either chasing girls, being rich or being transformed into a horseman of Apocalypse to really invest that deeply in Bobby. I could be wrong, but I think Bobby is a lot closer to Hank and then maybe Warren (or Jean). Scott is in there too, but lower than the others (he's a little harder to forge a deep friendship with, it would seem). I don't see most of the All-New X-Men being that close to Bobby. Tabitha and Caliban had a couple of nice moments with Bobby in X-Factor - but nothing too exciting.
Also, a lot of Rogue and Bobby = BFF's. I don't see it (yet). They had a great road trip together in the mid 90's but other than that haven't had that much interraction. Thats not to say that their friendship won't deepen from now hanging out as team members (as oppose to not realizing the other existed like in Milligan's run).

Actually, I seem to recall reading somewhere that Carey said we would be seeing a lot of the Bobby-Rogue friendship coming up. It won't become anything romantic, but we'll see just how close they are.
Can't remember where I saw it....

Well actually they had 2 road trips. One to like the east coast to visit Bobby's parents. Rogue drove them in her jeep. It is here that we learn of Bobby's bigotted father. It was a total bonding trip.
The second trip they had was to Seattle. This time in Bobby's Porche. Bobby and Rogue were both going through huge emotional issues. Bobby's powers and mind were messed up due to Emma Frost and Rogue had absorbed some dark repressed memories from Gambit (whom she put in a coma). Again lots of emotional bonding.
And Milligan kinda touched on their friendship. When Rogue got jealous of Bobby and Lorna's relationship and flamed them. Bobby was joking with her asking about her powers etc. It wasn't a specific thing, but there was a feeling that they were bother/sister IMHO. :D

Those two roadtrip stories were written very well and showed us how a friendshiop can start, then starts to grow and get very close. That's what happened is those two roadtrip stories. After that it had no follow-up, but the same goes for other strong developed bounds (like Jean and Rogue, Beast and Reyes, Bishop and T-Bird III etc.)
But now they're on the same team it might get attention once more.

The Warren/Bobby friendship was really shown much more in non-X-books like the Champions, the Defenders, and Hulk Annual #7. I think Lobdell is the only one who did much with it in the X-Books.

Yeah, Warren is close to him, but is not that much. I think he's closer to Scott and Jean than Hank and Bobby.
