I'm not sure who I want Bobby with. I'm totally down with him being straight or gay- whichever floats his boat. If he's gay I would want him with Jean-Paul, obviously (he doesn't have many options in the MU anyways). But if he's indeed straight, then I like him with Rogue. Although Mike Carey is selling me on this Mystique/Iceman relationship too. And then there's Emma Frost. They had some HOT chemistry during the 90s.



SO...... I dunno. Bobby should just sleep with everyone!!

The odd thing was he still tried. And even after Alex went off with Chuck Austen's wife, Bobby still tried, and failed. When they were together after M-Day, Polaris left and who went with her Alex.

I want to see more Bobby/raven interaction. I like the idea. The cover was great, and the moment inside even better. This is one of the things which I'm looking for the most in Carey's book.

She had her powers still far as i recall and yea it had me wondering as well.
Not sure but wasn't it later explained as Gambit's influence on her, her having absorbed some of his personality and therefore taking more risks than she'd usually take?

The Bobby/Mystique thing just feels .....strange.....for some reason. I mean I like Carey's writing and all, but it just is sort of ...weird...to even think of those two together. But I'm willing to see how it all turns out.:cool:

I think the bobby/raven relationship is one of the best ideas in ages.

My reasoning:

I just think itll be good for both characters...

for Mystique- maybe we can see a softer side rather than just the snarky bitch...kinda like when Cordelia and Xander went out in Buffy...She can make Victor jealous...which can lead to great comedy of Bobby being scared...

for Bobby- we can show both his childishness...with him being intimidated by Ravens obvious sexuality..plsu we can get plenty of comedy for him constantly apologising for her....plus there will also be the more seirous elements...it will allow Iceman to grow up...and id liek to see Rogue react...maybe shell find out that actually now Bobbys unavailable she might have a crush on him.

I love the "As Iceman, I've made a career out of Denial..." line.

That said, I'd like to see Bobby with someone outside of the X-clan. Maybe with Firestar. or Turbo. someone young and hip, but connected to other circles.

I really liked Iceman in the Defenders, so my favorite love interest for him is Cloud... even though Cloud turned into a guy. I think it would be funny if Mystique turned into a dude half-way through their romance. :D Does anyone have any pics of Zelda? I tried googling an image but all I get is that nintendo princess (who also turned into a dude).

Mystique has decades of maturity and wisdom . Compared to her Bobby is a child . I just don't see any kind of relationship between those two . I 'd actually like to see Mystique have a relationship with Cable . Those two make sense togather to me . I can actually imagine them having a conversation . What in the world would Bobby have to say to Mystique to hold her intrest . He would bore her silly .
Bobby will never be anything but second best with Lorna . THe more he pursues her the more pathetic he looks.
Rogue and Bobby just seem like good friends , I 've never gotten the feel of chemistry between them , certainly nothing like the white hot heat between Rogue and Gambit .
I have no real intrest in Opal or Zelda .
On the other hand , there are several intrigueing potential pairings between Bobby and various different men . Most notably Northstar . He's been single forever , it's long past time Jean-Paul had a romance , and there 's been a lot of potential story if a gay relationship were explored .
I also liked the recent Cannonball/Bobby scenes :) , but it's going to be a big enough deal for Bobby to come out , I can't see the writers making Sam gay too .

While it would never happen in the main 616 universe, I think the best person for Bobby would be Kitty. Bobby is the most immature adult this side of Morph. His lack of maturity, motivation and desire to go up have been major factors in his role as a superhero, and I also think in his attempts to keep women. Kitty is the polar opposite: smart, mature and ambitious.

I can see Kitty bringing Bobby out and trying to make him "more". I think she would be a good counter-balance that might push Bobby to grow.

Think of the possibilities. While Iceman is nearly indestructible, imagine a kid who can transmute ice and become intangible. Talk about invunerable!

While Kitty could challange Bobby to grow , what's he doing for her ? That relationship sounds more like a mentor/student relationship than one of lovers .
