Hi all!

New to the boards more or less

Anyway, I've been reading around a bit about comic storage, and since my collection is growing by the day both in value and quantity I wanna store them the best way.

I've been reading that poly bags are only good for like 5 years and this seems to be the general conclusion that you need to exchange them after that. So I'm probably gonna go over to mylars over time.

I've been looking at 4 Mil mylars and 2 Mil mylars for the not so rare comics. Are these good choices?
Also, do you need backing boards for these bags? I've got alot of backing boards, all my comics right now are bagged in Ultra pro poly bags and with Ultra pro backing boards so can I use these if they are needed for the mylar bags? Or are there some other type of backing boards I should choose?

A lot of questions :)

Take care, -N

Here's one fairly detailed (albeit short) discussion on the topic from over on the Classics board. They tend to be the experts since that's where all the really old books are.
