I am very pleased to announce that Kid Omega, Last Boy on Earth turned retailer extraordinaire, has been elected the CBR Community Citizen of the Month for November 2006. Alex's 25 Greatest Comics thread earned him the well-deserved privilege of wearing the Tiara for one month.

This is the second time Alex has been elected COTM; the first was in June 2001, when he was still using the name Kamandi.

The election was a landslide; although the newly returned rick got 6 votes, Alex's 25 votes made him the clear winner. Other candidates were Agent Helix, Buzz Dixon, DonC, Fenris, Forefinger, Jaye (formerly 13th), tricksterpup, Typo Lad, and Winslow, each of whom got one vote.

Please join me in congratulating Alex, and I'll see you in a month when we elect the last COTM of the year, as well as the Citizen of the Year for 2006.

You rock the party that rocks the body!

Ew!

Congrats, Alex. I can't rememeber the last time I was so constantly excited to read comic discussion at CBR.

You know, I finally figured out why that thread's so fun to read, even if I'm not actively participating. It's the online equivalent of a bunch of people sitting around a table and talking intelligently about good books and what makes them good. We don't do that nearly as much as we should.

Good on ya, Citizen Omega. You deserve the award.

Good description. I haven't participated either, but it still makes for good reading.

I feel so ashamed for using that line.

Thanks everybody.

I promise to abuse my position and flaunt my elected powers with disdain for the proletariat.

It's just what I do.

Kid Omega as CoTM?

Yeah? Well that's just your opinion, man!

Congratulations.

Crap. I'm tired and busy and missing the all-new, all-cool threads.

Well, not missing them. Just not having time to write. Good reading, though!

Perhaps start a war with some lesser comic vendor.

Or something involving hookers. Hookers are always good for headlines.

Yes, but remember, it's war first, then send in the hookers, never the other way around.

The guy becomes a small business owner, and "goes Republican" on our ass. ;) :D

(I'm kidding - please don't turn this into a political thread)

Congrats Alex!
