...don't have a fireplace inside to be delightful...there's really no place I can go...

Let it snow let it snow let it snow...

The storm should end about 9 am Friday...I can't remember a blizzard with thunder or lightning before. We're expecting over a foot of snow. White out conditions exist with 30 mph winds right now.

It's all fun and games unless the power (without power means no heat/water) goes out.

Heh, I've got about 10 inches in my dirveway & the stupid school district is still open. I'm really hoping to be dug out in time to go to work at 11:00. The worst part of this whole mess it that it was 64 degrees here 2 days ago.

This is about the only thing I don't miss from living in New York.

We never get that much snow in Seattle, and when we do -- we get a snow day.

We got 2.5 days off of work for the 1.5" that fell from mon-wed.

0.5 inches of ice meant Thursday off.

10-12 inches of snow means Friday off.

The wife and I have deciced that two snow shovels is better than one of us shoveling and the other, uhm, "supervising"...

So we have to dig to the road (which has been plowed, so we have to dig through that, too!) about 15 yards. The snow is deep enough that the car would bottom out if we didn't.

The local news just showed large docks at the Lake of the Ozarks that had the roofs collapsed. This is not good for my family, as my parents have a dock down there, too.

Lookee what else it meansPackage Progress

Snow here in the Lower Mainland, but still warm in Toronto. What gives?

72 degrees in Philly on December 1st! We need to split up into teams to get the pieces of the weather dominator ASAP.

Got a foot of snow here just outside chicago and today a highway going west towards iowa had a 70 mile back up. People were stuck in their cars for 12 hours and they were saying they are going to send in the national gaurd to get the people out of there.

People who complain about -7 as a mean temperature are pussies. I was in the Antartic for a week and it didn't get above -50 with a wind chill of -20.

That's cold.

South St. Louis County got about 4inches of sleet and all the trees that didnt fall in July came down yesterday/today.

Saw some of that thunderstuff while it was sleeting. last time that happened was in '82 when we got about 14 inches over a six hour period.

Wonderful living in the County in a condo, where somebody else cleans off the streets and sidewalks.

Its a freakin winter wonderland!!
