View Full Version : Which mutant power will be the next "in" thing?

Okay, take away the Superman template (super strength, flight, invulnerability), the prof x/jean grey/emma template (telepathy and/or telekinesis), the wolvie template (healing, claws, senses), and the sunfire/havok template (flame-based, energy blast and projection) and which ability do you think will we start to see in more future mutants that marvel will come up with and which do you prefer would become popular?

I personally like the Mercury powers, i just hope not many mutants will have them though

I think marvel should quit with the adapting-to-any-situation-or danger random abilities.

Well, if you go by pop culture standards then Time Travel will probably be the most copied template.

I personally would like some more creative powers, or at least character with simple powers, but use them creatively.
For example, Hellion's TK used in an offensive fashion more so, ie TK bubbles around people's heads, TK fists of fury, stuff like that.

A sample power I'd like to be seen is something with gum. After seeing Aguja all the time blowing bubbles, I thought it would be neat if some one could either generate bubble gum or at least manipulate to make giant gum monsters and crazy stuff like that.

However, I'm thinking they'll be going towards more general powers, like water manipulation or something like that.

Well you didnt remove the speedster template, not that marvel has to many of them anyway, atleast no flash level speedsters which im kind of thankful for since its an annoying ability and DC like alot of their characters are extremely overpowered and thus disgustingly annoying.

I would say the matter manipulation power isnt heavily used by anyone. By MM I mean someone who has a substance or can conjure a substance like ectoplasm and use it to create different things. Really if you play D&D and have a Psionic Handbook that breaks down the various psionic powers into the 6 different disciplines, they form pretty much 6 different powers or templates for a character.

You can accomplish this at times with enough Jack Danials or by having them drink just about anything in a large amount.Its not an exact science thou an some still woun't bite all thou a decent amount do.Its easy to acomplish this with out powers

you guys are so selfish. i'd choose the power to sexually stimulate others just by making skin to skin contact with them. with that power, i could probably accomplish what both of you guys are after but i'd also get the added ego stroke.
