I've been holding off on watching Batman Beyond until after I see the final Justice League set, so as to see it in "order". However, I'm unsure as to when Return Of The Joker takes place. Is it after the series, or in between seasons?

It's better to watch Batman Beyond after watching Batman: TAS since it follows up on that series not JLU.

As for Return of the Joker, it was released in December 2000 so I would guess that it's mid-season.

I believe Barbara Gordon's voice changed with the movie - from Stockard Channing to.........one of the DA's who used to be on Law & Order (Angie Harmon, was it?)

Anyway, at whatever point in the regular BBeyond series Angie Harmon shows up as Commissioner Gordon, RotJ takes place before that.

If you're watching the DCAU in chronological order, I'd watch RotJ after the BB series. It makes a much better conclusion than the final Batman Beyond episode, which was rather lackluster and not a real "ending" at all. (Though if you want to be really picky, the JLU episode "Epilogue" was intended to be the true finale to the DCAU and won't have a real impact if you haven't seen the rest of BB.)

Chronologically it takes place in between seasons, though I don't know which. I agree with Sandoz that you should watch all of BBeyond first, then ROTJ and then cap it off with the JLU episode 'Epilogue' because that was intended to be the original finale for both the DCAU and BBeyond. If you view them in that order, it's much more satisfying and you'll definitely have a sense of finality.

Just make sure the version of ROTJ you see is the original uncut (http://www.amazon.com/Batman-Beyond-Return-Original-Version/dp/B00005Y71K) one and NOT the lame WB edit.

Yeah, it was always my plan to watch Epilogue last. Matter of fact, when I got JLU season 1 I didn't even watch that episode because I want the emotional impact of seeing it at the end. I just wasn't sure where ROTJ fit, but thanks everyone, I'll watch it after the seasons.

Hmmmm... The final JLU episode makes a great ending to Justive League, but Epilogue makes the better ending to the Timm-verse, and one should see certain parts of BB before the end of the first season of JLU. If only so The Once and Future Thing makes more sense.
