What ever happened to The Verve? Heard they kind of got sued by Richards and Jagger.

From what I last heard on VH1 , it was the Rolling Stones who held the copyright though. That it was a song sample they owned and who the Verve used. Whats sad is that I think the lead singer of the Verve gave up music as all the money made by this hit single went to the Stones.

Really.....I didn't know. I always heard he became diss-illusioned by the whole process and all. Most likely thinking of someone else who was a lead singer in a band.

Keep in mind that the album was what sold and even with giving the cash for the one song to the Stones, they still made all sorts of happy cash off the rest of the record.

So they certainly didn't go broke.

Also since they put Bittersweet on their singles collection I figure that they must think it is worth the price of paying the Glitter Twins.

Ya know?!? Like they won't just poop out another album to justify going on tour, where the real money is.

Man, I love the Verve. Urban Hymns was good, but Northern Soul and A Storm In Heaven were better. And I did like Richard Ashcroft's first solo album a lot, but I wasn't so keen on Human Condition and I haven't heard much of Keys to the World
