The art wasn't up to par, but otherwise this was a good issue. Im looking forward to the mystery of Miss Martian, but on the other hand I hope Jericho doesn't stick with that outfit on the cover, it's worse than his old one, can't the poor guy get a decent costume, and why is he still mute, in a new body shouldn't his voice be healed?

I enjoyed the issue, especially Miss Martian. It's nice to have Jericho back, I have a lot of affection for the character. The art wasn't terrible, but I did miss Tony Daniels.

jericho has never been able to speak right?
He could as a child, but his throat was slit.
His new body was formed as he remembered it, which is probably why he can't speak in his new body too.

Crappy art this month. Shame.
I'll take slightly crappy art over a slightly crappy story. Thank God this book got better, because I've been gettin' reall !@#$% sick of the "this ain't my Titans," "you don't belong here" crap. Now, though, it looks like we have to deal with a "why does Eddie look kinda' like Trigon" storyline that hopefully won't suck too much. Upheaveal's fun and all, but this book's been in upheaveal for almost its entire run. Set a status quo and let the book just be a book about superhero teens for a month, without having some terrible secret lurking in the shadows every other page.
*sigh* Another fill-in. Oh well at least the fill-in artists were pretty good. And both their styles weren't too dissimilar to Daniel's art. I'd still rather have Daniels, though. The artist who did the pages 1, 5, 10, 21-22 I think was a little better than the artist who did the rest. I just didn't like the way the second artist drew Miss Martian too sexy rather than cute, Robin too short and stocky (he's smaller than Wondergirl! I'm not too fond of how Wondergirl has been looking more and more like a supermodel lately. It's such a far cry from the way she started out, though, it's not implausible for a girl to become more beautiful through adolescence.) and he left the W off of Wondergirl's chest a few times.
I can't wait for next issue! Finally, the truth behind Kid Devil's upgrade. I'm pretty sure the story will be that he got his powers from Lex over in 52, and BD is upset, but it'll still be cool even if I predicted it.

This is a nice mix of characters Johns has established for himself. I'm particularly interested in Miss Martian. Now that J'Onn J'Onzz is stuck going through whatever lame X-Files revamp they've come up for him and isn't allowed to smile anymore, I'm glad Johns has given us Miss Martian to balance things out again.
I don't really see the point for bringing Jericho back, but given how crappy the story was the killed him off, I can't really complain too much. But, seriously, Johns needs to ease off on resurrecting dead characters for a spell.

My guess is that it was for the Titans East story. Maybe to give it some character depth.???
I am glad Miss Martian is on the team..
I am looking forward to the Titans East story. Teen Titan's is in for a couple a good months I hope.
I'm worried now, that we won't be getting much in the way of interesting twists from Titans East. This was a very straightforward story, with every revelation turning out to be extremely obvious. Who's the traitor? The one that just accused someone we know can't be the traitor. Who's behind it all? Deathstroke of course. =/

Jericho is better than Gender Reversed Teen Hero #238, at least.Who's behind it all? Deathstroke of course. =/Is there anything Deathstroke hasn't been behind recently?I can't wait for next issue! Plus, he implied in this issue that he'll lose his powers when he turns 20, and Luthor's metagene treatments come with a time limit..

So you're thinking it's not a, "sold my soul for superpowers, the devil collects when I turn 20" deal?
Because that would fit more with the idea that his soul is in danger.

And it might explain why Raven feels unsettled looking at him, like he reminds her of Trigon, and why he and Zatarra went to New Azarath together.

His powers aren't supernatural, though. And making deals with Lex Luthor qualifies you pretty damn well for your soul being in danger.
But, seriously, Johns needs to ease off on resurrecting dead characters for a spell.
It's especially funny considering Johns made such a big deal about the Door between life and death being closed in Titans right before IC.
So Johns has to use loopholes to get back the characters he wants, but keep his dead gone: Jericho got to come back because his soul was trapped on a disc way back in Johns' Titan run and Arisia was in some alien coma.
Yeah, I don't see what the big deal is if Jericho wasn't "dead" in the first place. Johns just gave him a new body.

He was dead, though, until Johns brought him back in the first place. He's actually resurrected him twice now.

I actually wasn't all that bothered by the art, I quite liked the Ryan Benjamin parts since they sort of looked Jim Lee'ish.
This book just keeps getting better and better the more the roster has solidified. I know Jericho's history with the team but I haven't read any of his past appearances in Teen Titans before now so I'm interested to see how he'll interact with this new team. His new costume isn't so bad, kind of odd but a mix of the Deathstroke scales, armor and a bit of his older costume.
I also dug Miss Martian here, she made for a good red herring for the past few issue but she's come to be a real asset to the team in a quirky way. Her White Martian roots are the most interesting parts about her so I'm anticipating more back story on her bahalf. All in all I'm really liking this different and new team and even the villains they've encountered so far.
The team has definitely come a long way from it's more chaotic beginnings.

I didn't get the issue where his powers are confirmed as not supernatural. Is that something that was said by someone with experience after checking him over (like Raven) or is that just something he said?
I don't think making deals with Lex Luthor quite qualifies as soul-endangering.

Are you sure I thought he got his powers when he was caught in the middle of an army of demonic monsters in an earlier Titan issue ( I wanna say issue 30).... Just before their Crisis Tie-In...

Caulder said he didn't see anything magical about Eddie's powers when Plasmus cracked his ribcage open. And we haven't seen anything at all about how he got them yet.

So...does jericho have any powers?
Or is he just a good fighter? (which is a given, I'm sure.)
Love the book, but a team with three "normal" martial-artists doesnt mesh with me for some reason.
I think Miss Martain will become his new superboy since Johns misses him so.

When Jericho makes eye contact with someone, he can possess them. At least that's what he did in his first incarnation. I presume it's the same now.

Haha, oh yeah DUH.
I figure that was a side affect of him coming back in the brother blood storyline.

She hasn't really been explained. All we know is that she's a White Martian, as opposed to Green like J'onn, but she does possess similar powers. Hopefully, more will come with time.
