mazingman728's spoilers from the DC Forums.

Cover has Bruce Wayne in the Batman body suit spearing the Bat cap and cowl with a pole with an eye in the sky looking on.

The ticker at the bottom reads “Death of the Batman!...Gotham Beast Wars continue!...I’ve got my eyes on you!...”

The solicitation for WEEK 30: Get ready for the story you never expected! "Batman...No More" — a full length 22-page adventure featuring Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson, Jason Todd and...Batwoman?!?

However, in this issue we have 20 pages of the Bat-Family instead of 22, an Origin that is solicited for the following week, and the only sign of Jason Todd is in the flash backs.

The first three pages are a basic history of Batman. The history includes Batman and Robin, Joker giving up murder for a while, Dick going away to college, Jason becoming Robin, Jason being killed, Barbara Gordon shot by the Joker, Batman’s back being broken, War Games, the return of Jason Todd, Robin’s father dieing, Batman about to shoot Alex…”He lost it. In the end he just lost it”.

Week 30, Day 1
Nightwing and Robin are in some Arab nation. They figure that they were set up to be “recreating that journey that turned Bruce Wayne into Batman”. Robin believes that “he wants us to be the new Batman and Robin…” Nightwing and Robin knock out the two guards on the premises and find the Bat cape and cowl on a large urn.

Gotham City: A doctor friend of Kate Kane is looking in on Charlie due to his suffering through cancer. She has given him some morphine to help him get through the pain. Kate offers to let Renee and Charlie stay there are her apartment as Renee has been evicted from her apartment for not paying the rent in six months. Renee finally accepts the offer as Kate leaves for the night and tells Renee that “I won’t be back until late. Don’t wait up”. Renee goes into Charlie’s bedroom to sit with him for awhile and starts to meditate.

Nightwing and Robin have made their way into a warehouse where they find a truckload of weapons, “this stuff could start World War3, 4, and 5”. The only warehouse person still conscience bites down on a poison pill as Nightwing is interrogating him on the were about of Batman. Robin goes looking for Batman on a ATV while Dick takes off back to the states to cover things in Gotham.

Week 30, Day 3
Bruce is walking in the desert and comes across a man with his eyes blindfolded and a eye on the tip of each of his fingers. The man is a member of the Ten-Eyed Brothers and Bruce has tracked them down to slice out his demons. Bruce has to fight the one to prove himself and upon doing so four other Brothers appear with swords and surround Bruce. Robin shows up and finds Bruce on his knees and asks Bruce if he needs a hand to which Bruce responds “The Ten Eyed Men kill demons Tim. I asked them to kill mine. I asked them to cut out all the dark, fearful, paranoid urges I’ve allowed to corrupt my life…and they did. It’s over. Batman is gone”.

Week 30, Day 7
Gotham: Batwoman is fighting a gang of beasts trying to get information as to where Mannheim is. During the fight she turns and asks “You going to lend a hand here or are you just planning on getting an eyeful?” At which point she is joined by Nightwing “You have to admit, it’s quite an eyeful. What can I say? I’ve got a thing for redheads”. Only to receive a quick rebut of “Trust me I’m not your type”. They defeat the beasts but a wolf gets away; “Nightwing pleased to meet you.”
“ Batwoman”
“Yeah definitely not a Batgirl”.
Both Batwoman and Nightwing agree to look for Mannheim together with Nightwing starting in the north of town working south and Batwoman starting at the south of town working north. Batwoman fires off her grappling hook and leaves.

I think the Nightwing appeared in Gotham is Jason Todd.

I think the Nightwing that appeared in Gotham is Dick, since Dick told Robin he was going back to Gotham to cut off Intergang, so... yeah. Also, excellent use of the Ten-Eyed Man, whether it was a hallucination or not. A desert-ghost cult sure beats the hell out of some lame-ass who thought having eyes on his fingers would be a good power when you'd have to throw a punch blind.

Anyone else notice that Kathy's apartment is Bruce Wayne's old penthouse (exterior picture of the building page 6)?

Things certainly don't look good for the Question (:( ). Thought it was pretty cool watching Renee go "inside" though.

I think Bruce has purged himself of the Batman so he rebuild with the help of Dick & Tim, not so he can retire & let them take over

Considering that Bruce Wayne is still Batman, that is pretty much what happened.

Preeeeetty lame week, I'm sad to say.

We're getting more and more "Renee is going to be the next Question" setup. Say it ain't so, Greg, say it ain't so.

Harvey Dent is now officially the most useless guardian that Gotham has ever had.

And Batman should have a little talk with Nightwing regarding the importance of "protecting the franchise".

Oh, and not impressed with the way that the "parade of Bat-horrors" included Knightfall, No Man's Land, and Jason's return, but left out the death of a Robin.

Oh well, here's hoping next week does better.

It did have the "Death of Robin." It was the first parade of horror, in the panel right after Jason is pulling the wheel off the Batmobile.

And as for Nightwing easily accepting Batwoman:

1 - Dick's always been more open to others than Batman ever was.
2 - She was clearly holding her own, and wasn't some "young crimefighter in over her head."
3 - Dick was sort of annoyed that the Bat-crew had left behind Gotham to be overtaken by Intergang. If Batman wasn't ready or willing to come back and handle things, but Batwoman WAS, would it really be his place to come down on her for doing some good? It would make sense that he wouldn't have a problem with her helping out here.

Actually, Jason's death was the panel that preceded the "parade" - in essence, the event that set off the last unhappy 20 years of Batman, basically.

I wasn't talking about that death of Robin.

We've lost two.

Apparently nobody thought the second one was a bad thing to happen to Bruce.

It was a woman really so nobody cares about what happened to her.

The only thing I didn't understand were the references to Batman "going over the edge" or some such.

Also, in the series of panels on the credits page, it looks like Batman pointed a gun at Alexander Luthor. I thought it was Deathstroke...

Solid issue, the art looked a little rushed in places, especially in the Montoya/Kane scenes. Storywise, I thought it was ok, not the best issue this book has put out, but not the worst either. The only thing that really hurt this issue IMO, was the fact that the "Batman" issue, honestly felt a little forced. I mean, I can understand the Dick/Batwoman meeting, but I really feel like the Batman storyline could have been taken care of in the pages of Detective or Batman. It just felt like the "stars" of this series were pushed aside in favor of the Batman storyline. Still, it was a good read, I give it 7/10

Stephanie was fired as Robin, she died as Spoiler. So that Robin didn't die, per se.

I assumed it was Dick with Batwoman because Dick said he was going back to Gotham and his "I like redheads" line.

I liked the issue. Batwoman / Nightwing scenes were cool ... Hope to see more of Batwoman and I am glad she is not with the Doctor friend.

Batwoman and Question (Renee), romance would be cool..

That's six months down the line from where we are here. At this stage, we don't know if Bruce wants to become Batman again. It could be that he wants some peace & his happy for someone else to take up the mantle, like he was after Knightfall when he had had his legs healed & was ready for a new start. Also, like Knightfall, he may have to, reluctantly, resume the role.
