If Batman were ever taken to a psychiatric ward like Arkham Asylum and assessed. What would the conversation be like between Batman and the psychiatrist?

It'd last two minutes. The first minute would be Bruce explaining all of his problems, because he's generally aware of all his problems, and the second minute would be spent watching the psychiatrist cry.

Also, Bruce would see a psychologist, not a psychiatrist. Psychiatrists are medical doctors, and they deal with people who have chemical imbalances- problems beyond their control- while psychologists help people work through their own problems. Bruce doesn't have clinical issues, just emotional problems.

If Batman went to see a psychologist the psychologist would turn out to be Hugo Strange in disguise.

Well, let's see -- Batman has rage issues. Maybe it'd be like, "But you secretly hate your parents for abandoning you!!!"

Well from what I remember in the animated series (when Batman got locked in Arkham Asylum) he screamed at the doctor, beat everybody up, then left.

I guess it would be something like that.

Bruce doesn't have clinical issues, just emotional problems.Hmmm, but people with emotional problems don't typically become vigilantes dressed-up in bat costumes. Maybe, just maybe, Bruce does have medical condition but no one has noticed because of the trauma in his life.

That would make a great Elseworlds, curing Bruce Wayne of being Batman through psychiatric drugs.

Nah. Maybe, just maybe, he's a lonely guy who grew up hating criminals because of how they destroyed his life.

But maybe we could have an elseworlds where Bruce decides all his problems can be cured by Scientology? ;)

I'm sorry. I can't belive I actually typed that and hit "Submit Reply."

:evilsmile Batman gets two minutes into explaining his problems and the good doctor commits suicide on the spot. :evilsmile

Or it could be like when Rorshak talked to the prison psych.
