I got 10/20, which is better than I thought I'd do to be honest.
I am a James Bond fan, but it looks like I'll have to learn a bit more yet.

I got 13/20. I did very well in remembering which actor played who and stuff like that, but minor character names in a Bond film I haven't see in 10 years were tough.

I got 15/20. What really killed me was the bloody timer at the bottom of the screen. Its knida hard to concentrate when you have a countdown going red in your face.
Now I understand why Bond is so good at what he does.

6/20.
Then again, I've only seen the Brosnan Bond flicks, so I guess that's an excuse.

I got 14/20.
I had forgotten that Patrick McNee appeared in a Bond movie(View to a Kill). That makes three Avengers to appear opposite James, the other two being Honor Blackman(Pussy Galore in Goldfinger) and Diana Rigg(Tracy in On Her Majesty's Secret Service).
Is it weird of me that OHMSS is my favorite of the classic Bond movies?

Its in my top 2 or 3. If it had Connery in it, it would easily be my favorite.

I so wish Sean Connery would have been in OHMSS. It was a great story and action packed.

I got 7/20, which is better than I was expecting. I love the films; but am not a major devotée.

I got 8. I would have probably done better if that stupid timer wasn't there.

10/20. Was it James Brolin who almost played Bond?

I read it was rumoured Tom Selleck was considered when Moore was arguing for more money.

Thanks for the tip! I scored 17/20. I like James Bond, though I feel the novels were better than the movies. Only From Russia With Love, OHMSS, Thunderball and Dr. No closaely foillowed the books.
I wish they 'd make movies based after the James Bond novels by John Gardner and Raymond Benson. License Renewed, For Special Services, Win, Lose OR Die, and Zero Minus Ten would make cool films.

Win, Lose OR Die is the best name i've ever heard for a Bond film. Hope at some point they make a movie of that name, even if its the name only.

Brolin was in consideration at one time. Moore was considered before Connery. So was Clark Gable (who said he'd only do one) and James Mason (who said he'd only do two). Dalton was considered after Connery finished, but felt he was too young. Brosnan was signed for The Living Daylights but had to back out because of Remington Steele obligations. Sam Neill tested for The Living Daylights and would have had the part except for Cubby Brocolli's objections (there's footage of his test on The Living Daylights DVD). Some actor I never heard of was signed for Diamonds are Forever before Connery agreed to come back for a (then) obscene amount of money.
There's quite a few other also-rans but those are the major ones I believe.

I can't see the Broccs' accepting a non Brit in the role. The Aussie, George Lazenby in '69 was a once in a millenium acception.
The others so far have been a Jock ( Connery ), a Pom ( Moore ), a Welshie ( Dalton ), a Paddy ( Brosnan ) and another Pom with Craig.
I think it'd take someone really outstanding who wasn't a Brit to be given the part in future and Craig is young enough for another four movies at least.

Sixteen out of twenty. The timer IS distracting, I blew one I KNOW I really knew but I hurried too much.

It seems the questions change every time. There's a bout 40 different question I guess and you get 20 at random.

well, thunderball is closely to the book because i'm pretty sure the book was based on the screenplay in a backwards turn.
oh, and i got a depressing 6/20
godddddddd, how do you people remember all the actors names...

Quite so as the film credited Ian Fleming as having contributed to the screenfilm in the opening credits.
BTW, I forgot to mention that For Your Eyes Only was also close to the original novel. A shame though that M's connection to Melina Havelock-Judy in the book- was omitted from the film. A scene they really should've added from the novel was near the end where 007 & Columbo wrap things up as they have-as described in the book- mounds of fried eggs and bacon. :) Yeah, it ain't an action scene, still, given today's views on food & drink, it was a good scene to write in the film.
