Does anyone know if the original Xbox controller is compatable with the Xbox 360?

Nope. The 360 controller connects via USB, the original does not.

The only new console that can use the previous version's controllers is the Wii.

Also whoever designed the original console either was an idiot or a giant of a man. I love my Xbox but that original controller was awkward and made gaming a laborious chore.

I liked it... But I have big hands so it felt better to me than most previous gaming controllers.
