Any fans here? I just finished reading it. Loved the art, altough a bit sloppy at times but it just fit my style of a gritty comic book. Very Frank Millerish art from the days of DKR. The story wasn't a mindblowing mystery, but it was okay. I liked the action scenes, especially all the stuff that went on between Bats and Croc. Good stuff. The narration by Bats - I thought - was also heavily influenced by DKR, Bruce remembering his parents and stuff. I haven't read too many comments on this earlier, but most of them were negative. What did you think?

It would have been more enjoyable if they had been able to keep it as its own mini-series instead of continuity issues. I've grown to like it. I know I will read it again, but it'll be a while before I do.

Actually, this one, I had built up in my mind as being a really good comic. Then, I read it and was let down. It remains one of my least favorite arcs, really.

I agree.
I'm not normally bothered by such things but just a couple issues earlier Croc is this mutated killing machine with no humanity and a croc-sized nose... then he's suddenly gangster guy wearing a fedora, suit and tie with a flat face... WTF?
It wasn't bad... and I liked the gritty aspects too as that's how I think Batman stories should be (though his personality should be written like he was in the 1970's by Englehart, O'Neil etc.).

The story was okay. The art is fantastic though. Eduardo Risso is one of the best artists in the business at the moment
