So I picked up first 5 issues of exterminators and while it wasnt something I would read 10 times over I did enjoy it alot.

Does the series keep the original pace and story telling style?

I liked it because I kind of got the same feeling I did when I was little and stayed up to watch late night movies I shouldnt be watching.

Yes, it does. And, if nothing else, keeps getting better with each issue.

Chug on past #5... you won't be disappointed.

Definitely keeps the pace and quirky story, but adds a great deal more character development and backstory to the mix. If it weren't for The Other Side, I'd say it'd be my top book right now, and I encourage you to keep reading. There's a second trade featuring 6-12 coming out in March as well, reasonably priced at $12.99. (Gotta love those lower Vertigo price points.)

While I think the weakest moments of the series occur after issue five, it is well worth continuing on. The most recent issue might be my favorite of the series.

Very weird and funny stuff.

I definitely think they are worth picking up. As others have said, we're really starting to get some of the backstory, the characters are becoming more developed, and they add a few new characters I enjoy.

Ok think Ill grab up till the new 11 since its 1 of 2 and only need one more to have a stopping place.

I really liked how offbeat it was. It seemed to me to have a hint of clive barker's style in it occasionally. Hopefully charcter development happens in it some, one thing I wanted more of in the first arc.

Atleast that little weasly jerk is gone, I wanted him to die so badly I couldnt stand it.

That was when I noticed how well it was written, I actually disliked a charcter because he was supposed to be disliked, he was written so well I kept thinking what a scumbag he was as if it were a real person. Im still on the fence about stretch though, have to see what he does next.
