Hi to averybody!I'm a fan of Hellboy too and I love comic books and everyhing about it!My ambition is to become a comic drawer (especially for Hellboy). Now I only read the comic and I'm waiting for the next movie!But I must wait too much time to see the movie!And I'm waiting for the cartoon!I'm so curious!

Here's a two-for-one post.

Lilitu-Great concept. Wonderful sense of humor-I'm interpreting it that
HB is investigating the slime, but doesn't realize what's above him
is the monster. RHoD could be broader. Hellboy's face looks like there's
a bit of Abe Sapien mixed in. Overall, good stuff.

Zabalou- your Hellboy/Wolverine Gallery is awesome!! I'm sorry to say
I don't speak French, but you don't need to know the words to understand
the story line in the comics. "Oh Crap!" translates in any language. The
bar scene at the end is priceless!

In front of me I have the Hellboy statue from the movie and I was looking at that statue while I was drawing. And thinking well you're right ,it is resemble to Abe!:eek:

It almost seems a self-portrait:rolleyes: .I like to show my art to people that understand it. Some of my friends look at my sketches and they say: what is it? why you do them this way? Too words. Too questions. I like what I do.They think that a girl has to draw only dolls and butterflies but I like to draw monsters!:p (Even if I am afraid of the "true" monsters and I faint to the sight of the blood...).The sketch makes me live in a parallel world where I conduct the game and where nobody is really hurt. And then it is amusing.

As a young girl, I loved reading science fiction, Lovecraft, and Hitchcock. Same thing happened to me - people didn't think girls would be interested in such stuff, so why was I spending my time on that?

And you know - that was over 40 years ago. I would have thought that by now, people wouldn't make comments like that - telling you what your interests should be based on your gender. It surprises me.

I guess some things never change.

But you keep sketching! :) I like what you did!

This is one story of mine and is inspired to the sketches of Mignola.Obviously. I have on purpose translated it for you. Apart the grammatical errors, what do you think of it? I have imagined a story that has already had a beginning and that it still has to continue. What has still happened to the characters has not been disclosed. I have intention to continue it. Suggestions are well approved!

yes. It is called "Redrighthand". I've collected a thousand of fonts, my computer is full.

Lelitu, I believe that the thing you did seems actually a bit more simmilar to the P. Craig Russell's way of rendering characters with a fine taste of mignola's shadowing. Interesting fusion!

I have done this sketch when I was in a good mood. It's my first attempt of color with photoshop. It's not really the first one but I have used many levels for the first time in professional way. I usually paint with photoshop with the graphic tablet . I hope that you like it and I propose you a funny question: what is Hellboy looking for, the girl or the newspaper that she is reading?:D

Those are great. The Liz drawing seems sort of Adam Hughes/Greg Land-ish. My only issue is that she could use more of a nose. But that Abe drawing is really really cool.

The idea behind the Abe pic is good, but having the figures in a lateral flat
view gives almost the idea Abe is holding a surfboard :P
