From Brazil comes a zoological first or a tall tale, depending on who you believe.


The cat gave birth to the litter of six three months after mating with a neighbour's dog

Cassia Aparecida de Souza, 18, the owner of Mimi the cat, claims that Mimi bred with the dog next door.

She says Mimi then gave birth to three kittens - all of which died - and three puppies - which survived.

Miss de Souza, a student from the city of Passo Fundo, claims they are the world’s first known canine-feline hybrids.

I find myself skeptical based on a minute knowledge of genetics and interspecies breeding.

I think it is a hoax. Simply if cats and dogs could mate and produce offspring. We would of had halfbreed centuries ago.

If they is ever a half breed. It will be born in a lab somewhere.

The ulimate question is what do we call the half breed. Here are some name suggestions.
