Ninja Gaiden is already considered by many as one of the best action games ever. The story wasn't so deep, but what the hell. the graphics, music, controls, everything made this game an instant classic.
With Ninja Gaiden Sigma for PS3 recently announced and Ninja Gaiden 2 on the horizon, what would you like to see in the sequel?
Me? More weapons and combos, some stealth from time to time, bigger and fully interactive worlds (and thus more play time), better graphics, another great story, and more easter eggs.
That's all I can think of right now. What about you guys?

Agreed. And I wouldn't mind seeing more upgrades to the weapons as well.

Aww c'mon! That's part of the challenge! ;)

I'll be looking forward to the new moves. As for weapons, the scythe looks badass.
BTW, I presume that Team Ninja is now reading the myriad of posts with suggestions for achievements. The deadline was january the 24th, and the thing lasted like 10 days or something.

Like others have said, more weapons and moves is the only thing that pops in the mind; and yes, sure, let's update the graphics to the current generation (even though Ninja Gaiden Black, upscaled on the 360, already looks as good or better than some native 360 games in my opinion).
Ninja Gaiden was just such a nigh-perfect game that it's not immediate to pick improvements, since it doesn't simply have glaring defects that you can say "ok, fix this".

So true, it's hard to find anything to fix and add to such a perfected formula.

What now, there was some kind of official achievement suggestion thing? Didn't know about that. I'm assuming we're going to see the beat the game on such difficulty type of achievements, but knowing Team Ninja I doubt it's too far a stretch to say the achievements will probably more difficult to get then most games.

Hayate/Ein.
Shoot, if you are gonna bring in Ayane, I'd like Hayate as an alternate character.
But after that, no more DOA characters..... Though, Tina or Jann Lee as hand-to-hand fighters would be awesome, but this is NINJA Gaiden.

Agreed. Itagaki and Co. put a lot of effort into the first NG. However, there's always room for improvement, as there's no such thing as a truly perfect game, I believe. Yeah, it was a perfected formula from the start, in the sense that it's hard to find things that could be tweaked of fixed, just as both of you said. But there's always room for new ideas.

Yes, there was one at gamerscoreblog.com. And yeah, I'm betting there will be lots of achievements related to the difficulty.

Great idea. A revamped Jaquio would be a cool nod to the original.

Hmmm... I liked Ayane in NG, but only as a character that was, to a certain extent, part of the story. I dunno about making other DoA chaacters playable in any NG game.

Keep the difficulty level up there. I like it hard.

Yeah, but there really isn't a lot of improvement to the actually gameplay, sure you just add some new moves and weapons and such, but what else can really be tweaked from the NG formula to make it better? As far as new ideas, it's great to be open to them, but they're a double-edged sword, could be a good idea, could be a bad idea that hinders game play (ex: Crash mode meter in the PS2 and Xbox Burnout: Revenge). Not to say there isn't anyway to improve in any possible way, but it's not something that most can see until it is actually done.
