Eric is a douchebag. Though I can't blame him for being an opportuntist.

i'm just hoping that all he's doing is sneaking a peek at her. if he goes any further than that, i'm going to have a hard time "cheering" for this character. on the plus side, he kind of saved Nick Fury ...almost kinda. :)

Yeah, its a slippery slope, and I worry if Chris gets to be too much of a bastard the book will struggle. I have LOVED this book so far, but its one thing to have a flawed hero, a dispiccable (sp?) hero is another matter entirely.

That being said, from what Kirkman has implied, who knows how long Chris will even be in the book.

Chris? isn't he dead? maybe you're thinking of Eric. he's the one with the sideburns and red hair. :)

btw, Kirkman also implied that 2 people would be sharing the armor. ;) what he probably means is that he doesn't know how the series will do sales-wise. it's going to be pretty hard to replace Eric as Ant-Man when it's his personality that gives it the title 'Irredeemable.' my prediction is that he continues to abuse his powers. Pym will catch up with him. Pym will decidedly trounce him, start to think about his own failings, and take Eric as a protoge a la Batman Beyond.

lol yea, I meant Eric :o

I like your theory about a possible role for Pym in the book, that would be cool to see.

to play devi...Eric's advocate for a sec, we don't know why he returned to Beth's apartment. he obviously doesn't have anywhere to go. he's keeping his Ant-Man costume at the YMCA, while on the run from S.H.I.E.L.D. maybe he's just went back there so he'd have some place to sleep. *snicker* yeah, riight.

P.S. where did he put his green bag when he shrank? he doesn't look to be carrying it when he slips underneath the door? and where did that purple welcome mat come from? that wasn't in the pic where he was exiting the apartment. hmmm.

it's the tail end of it (right before Wolverine goes on his killing spree in Japan). i actually looked back (i don't know why) at my copies of Enemy of the State to see if Eric showed up. nope.
