Personally, I'd like nintendo to put in an in-joke ampunt of characters like 64 or 128 or something like that. I mean, wouldn't you just love the feeling of seeing so many character it fills up the entire screen and thinking "god,who do I play as today"?

Ooh, old-style Ganon. I hadn't thought of that. He could turn invisible. And make firebird things. And get an extra life when Link dies... Well, maybe not.

There are really a lot of characters that could be added to a SSB game. Especially old, obscure characters that can be remodeled and fitted with outstanding moves.

Wart and Mouser from SMB2 come to mind.

I second more Kongs. Cranky Kong as a playable character would be soooooo sweet. He could finally prove how badass he is!

Actually, Diddy and Dixie might work great as a duo-character...somewhat like the ice-climbers in Melee. Or Dixie and Kiddy. Funky's flying surfboards and hovercrafts could be useable items.

Meowth-That's right! Seriously he could have Mario's triple jump Bowser's Slash attack, and a coin based variation of Shiek's dart toss (cool added effect would be that every time you use it you have a small chance of getting a coin for the lottery at the cost of 5% damage), he would also be lightweight but unfortunately not very strong.

Deoxys- Cool thing is each of his costumes would be a different type (one would weigh a little more, one would have slightly stronger attacks,etc) Really the only Advance Gen pokemon I could see working well in SSBM as a fighter.

No such thing that I know about. Melee characters use firearms.

But Square-enix characters are probably a big no in Smash Bros. Then again, I thought Solid Snake would be too.

Also, Twinrova would be pretty spiff. They could be a mix of Ice Climbers and Zelda -- their first phase them as a pair, then they merge and have another set of attacks. And the game needs a physical-force female, like Impa (the Ocarina version). I'm sick of all these chicks who use weapons and magic. Let one of them battle it out with brawn.

Oh, and Toad should totally be playable. Regardless, I hope there's a LOT more characters, just because it'd be that much more fun playing with friends and holding tournaments.
