Well -

hmmm. I'm not sure what to think. The story was alright, though the continuity problems continue to get worse (Blade has not only been captured on film before, he's been interviewed on TV about being a Vampire Hunter! I'm not sure if Marvel vamps can be captured on film or not, though.)

Not as good as issue 2, about as good as issue 1, though the art is better this issue.

I liked this issue better than the last one. I laughed at the fact that Blade gets his funding by stealing value possessions of the vampires he kills.

I'm fully coming around on this book. At first, I only picked it up for Chaykin, but I starting to believe Guggenheim's proclamation that every issue is a going to be an improvement on the previous one. I'm never really been a Blade fan, though, so the continuity gaffes don't really bother me. I'm just starting to take a Shade, the Changing Man approach to it, meaning I'd rather enjoy what I have in my hands than worry how it could fit into the MU. (Not that I'd compare Shade, one of my all-time faves, with the good-so-far Blade beyond the very liberal use of continuity.)

Haha, I laughed also but it makes sense. I mean its not like the vamps family members are going to take him to court :-)

I really enjoyed this book, I was gonna drop it if there was no improvment on the last one (one I personly found really crap).

I can't believe that a book starring Blade has become one of my favorite books on the market. Seriously, Marc is clearly putting a lot of effort into making this thing work as the over the top, dark but not oppresive read it always should have been. Three issues, each one great and with great little plot twists, one-liners and big comicbook ideas that shouldn't work, but do.

Dracula, Shield taken over by vampires, vampire clowns, Dr. Doom, time travel, a vampire date, vampires in the white house, Blade revealed to be a murderer in his past; all done in 3 issues, and all done effectively. And next issue we have a vampire Santa Claus, an idea that would sound stupid if I wasn't sure that Marc and Howard can pull it off.

Marvel really needs to start pushing this book harder, and no, having a Sticky Fingers quote on the cover doesn't count.

Wow... nicely put!

I just got to reading it last night.

I liked it overall and think I will be around for the long haul.

Each story has been interesting and the continuity gaffe's don't bother me because Marc is writing some damn fine stories.

Continuity aside, only issue #2 has had a decent tale. This latest issue was in fact, too typical. I've seen every bit of it before (in some cases, in the movies or the TV series). There wasn't much original about it, and I kept getting a feeling of obligatoriness about it.

Now, issue #2 rocked. More tales like that, and I could forgive the continuity gaffes. But when the tales are only so-so, then the little problems start bugging me more.

Okay, here's a question:

He's been interviewed on TV at least the once. He's been working with UNSC-SHIELD off and on in the last couple of years. Why the blazes does he need to hide what he's doing from either US Homeland Security or the NYPD?
Much less worry about alleged offenses dating back before he met the Nightstalkers-to-be?

Honestly, I hated the first issue. But I decided to at least stuck it through until number 4. So I picked up 2 and 3 the other day. And I'm glad I did. I enjoyed them both. I think with the new launch and everything, don't harp too much on the past.
