In many tie-in throughout this event, Tony has used many heroes including, spider-man, in questionable ways to make his goals for a better life come true.
So my question is that is he becoming what he fears as in a big business man, who uses people in questionable ways to make his goal be realize ?
Is he straying away from the life of a hero he wanted to be into becoming the Business man he was meant to be ?
If he doesn't stop now, then maybe the hulk can stop him. :D
Though a lot of what he's doing can to some degree be justified, he's nonetheless treading down a potentially slippery slope.
If he continues down the road he's going on now, I doubt Stark will ever have another good nights rest again. Regardless of whether he can intellectually rationalize his actions or not, his actions here are going to eat at him for a long long time.

Lately it feels like he's more of a robot in a human-shell, rather than the other way around. And does anyone else notice that is armor keeps looking more-and-more like Ultron and Iron Man 2020?

@ Riotgear -
I don't even know or care much about Ironman, but you may be on to something!
Or at least that would be cool.

I heard someone mentioning that the Extremis storyline might have something to do with it. I don't read Iron Man, so I got this info from other posts and Wikipedia.
Didn't Tony partially merge with his armor during that storyline? Maybe the armor is influencing his state of mind. As far as I can tell, that would explain his behavior.
Then again, this is pure speculation, and I could be totally wrong. :)

Can someone quickly explain to me what the hell he was thinking when he cloned Thor? Isn't that going way beyond unethical? I only read that in the Civil War comic, but I'm sure it was explained more elsewhere....
....Any lingering thoughts of loyalty I was feeling towards Iron Man's side were gone after I read that.

Yeah, that still bothers me about the pro-side, or at least specifically Tony and Reed. Without being too spoiler-ish, the comics that came out today do show them in a more sympathetic light IMO, but I still think some of their actions are morally questionable. I do give them some credit for feeling torn about the whole thing, though I don't want them to unequivocally win.

it's Captain America who is becoming what he feared. he's become reckless and a danger to the American people. Tony's a saint by comparison. he's doing what he's doing out of personal responsibility.
yeah i made this point a while back that marvel seem to be turning tony into a villian character which in itself would make the old stark repulsed. As for cap i hadn't really thought about him feeling guilty but it's a great point. He seems to really fit the role of a hero of war...just maybe this isn't his ideal setting , probably perfer the red skull of tony
