Can I ask a dumb question about posting delays?

This has been driving me nuts and I did not notice this board doing it before. If I'm typing a long reply to something, I notice when I try to post it, I have to sign in again. Why? Is there a time limit on "lingering" or being "idle" for too long in one place? It drives me crazy because then I have to click back and copy the text so that I can sign in, and then click and recopy the text to a new reply box to post.

I know, it's not really important in the bigger scope of things but I was just wondering about this.

So, to the powers that be, thankyou in advance for your answers.

I'm not sure there is a setting for that. If you are writing a long post, write it in a word processing program and then cut and paste it into the post.

Check the REMEMBER ME box when you sign in.
I think that will help.

Yeah, remember me will keep you logged in.

Still, if you're idle for twenty minutes, you'll have all the posts from before the last twenty minutes marked as "read," which is annoying.
