Which current Captain America artist do you like more?

The current run of Captain America alternates between two talented artists, Steve Epting and Mike Perkins.

Which of the two do you enjoy most on the title?

i like steve epting's art :D Not only on captain america. He always did a good job imo

I'd have to say Steve Epting, but Mike Perkins is also fantastic, and I don't really find a quantifiable difference in quality between their issues. Epting's is a bit more polished, though (I like Perkins' Sharon more).

Yeah I like Epting alot more if I were given a choice between them but Mike Perkins is also fantastic. Mike is kind of looser in style but has enough similarity to Steve's that the art is still consistent.

I loved Mike's current Civil War Bucky issue though so I'm glad he's the rotating artist on Cap.

I'll be honest. I view Perkins as a shallower Steve Epting. Epting is awesome, and Perkins is still FANTASTIC, but it seems to me he's a paler imitation.

Can I vote for Frank D'Armata? Neither of those guys would look half as good without his colors.

I went with Epting simply because I've been a fan of his from his Avengers days through CrossGen and now on to Cap.

Gotta agree with this.
I don't see a lot of difference... and yes, I like looking at Sharon these days... I still feel funny about seeing her and Steve in bed together... but I was ready for it.:D

If Perkins were the regular Cap penciller, no one would be complaining. The guy is a great artist. Spectacular, even. But Epting is doing career-defining work on Cap right now. The kind of artwork that would have gotten a trading card series, back in the 80s. They're close enough alike though that when Perkins comes on, and you forget that he is the artist, you think "Eh, Epting is off by just a tiny bit." But only because Epting is one of, if not the, best realistic style superhero artists working today.

I do think that the most recent Cap/Winter Soldier CW ish was one of Perkins' best so far.

I have to agree with just about everybody else here. Both Epting and Perkins are producing excellent work on this title. I have to give the edge to Epting, because he's channelling the spirit of John Buscema beautifully, but Perkins in an excellent artist. Overall, Cap is in good hands.

Epting.

His art is fantastic. Not only is he good at capturing action and super-hero stuff but Epting masterfully depicts Brubaker's noirish/espionage take on Cap.

its hard to read the wizard top ten artists list sometimes and see guys like michael turner and chris bachalo in the top ten while guys who are better in my opinion - like Epting and Perkins - and can actually draw a book a month, dont get the credit they deserve. Epting is doing career defining work on Cap and Perkins is amazing on Union Jack..guys like Turner (only good a women and every male character looks the same ala Liefield) and Bachalo (the lines are so heavy and the bodies so Manga-distorted i cant even tell what the hell i am looking at half the time) get elevated to comic godhood and Epting, Perkins and also Leonard Kirk dont get the credit they deserve...f@#king crime...
