Q: “Moshikal” - Who is the new regular artist of Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man?
JQ: Moshikal, the new artists for FNSM is Todd Nauck inked by Robert Campanella.
I can't say I'm particularly thrilled with the choice of Todd. His work was only pretty good when he emulated the cartoony Teen Titans book but otherwise his anatomy is kind of wonky when it comes to Spidey. I'm hoping he corrects or improves some aspects of his art or at least given a good colorist.

I disagree completely. Woooo! PAD and Nauck together again!

I'm really pleased - Todd's got a great talent and he's a great guy to boot. Sad to see Ringo go, but thrilled that it's Todd stepping up.

he has drawn the last books, when he can do it on a monthly base without too many fill ins i'm all for it.

liked his art so far. good choice though for me :)

Is there a reason why Weringo (sp)'s run was just about non-existant? What happened?

It's hard to tell, perhaps the tone of the book was darker than he expected it to be or maybe it was for some other reason. I was hoping for him to stick around much longer so I was pretty disappointed to hera him leave.

Maybe we can ask him at his own forum here.

I'm of mixed feelings, I like Nauck quite a bit on his other projects, but I'm not sure on his spidey work so far. His Spider-Man always looks a bit...lumpy. But, overall, I still enjoy his work.

It was my understanding Scot Eaton (who's doing the Deb Whitman storyarc) was the new artist on the book.

Not complaining about Todd, mind you, but where's Scot end up now? Is he still artist on Black Panther?

Does Quesada need a grammar aid or does the guy who wrote the interview?

I'm not really a fan of Nauck's work, so this probably won't push me into buying the title. I suppose I need to wait and see some art before truly forming an opinion on this matter.

I laugh more thinking it's Joe Q's fault. :p

I think I would prefer that, I like Eaton's art quite a bit.

PAD and Nauck's Young Justice was one of my favourite comic runs of all time, so I'm thrilled to see them together again. The Mysterio arc was a great beginning to what'll hopefully be another wonderful run. I do agree he needs to work on his Spider-Man, he didn't look quite right, but he did nail the rest of the cast, including the differences between the three Mysterios, so I think we're good.

Eaton is doing fill-in work on FNSM. Eaton is also the new regular artist on New Excalibur.

I really liked Todd's work on the Mysterio arc on this book. I think he's a great match for this book. The Young Justice team back together again. :D

Which I thought was horrible. I am not too glad to hear this news. His work has really been sub-par.

FNSM needs something more. I thought Wierengo would give it too the book cause I don't feel PAD has been. Who knows though....

Anyone know how long Nauck's run will be? The shorter the better in my opinion.

Someone also said this book was dark, really?

I think that I would have preferred Nauck to pencil USM, but this seems like a decent choice. I haven't been reading FNSM (I'll blame Marvel for launching it during The Other storyline), but this is something that may bring me back to the book. I prefer my Spidey books to have a consistent art team and Nauck will be able to keep up with the schedule, expecially if his 70+ issue run of Young Justice with little to no fill-ins is any indication.

Perhaps I will look at that arc the next time I go to the comic shop.
