Kids reading comics? A clever fabrication Mr. Rice, but we all know this to be a lie. Well played on the Photoshop skills though. You even made the comic book store look like well lit, well organized, well-run business that invites people from all walks of life in rather than the foul, iniquitous dens of parochial nerdery that we know them to be. *Arches eye brow*

(So...who's doing the signing?)

It's a shame that comic shops are evil and killing comics.

That's Raina Telgemeier, famous for the Babysitter's Club comics; and Abby Denson, who I'm not familiar with.

That's mean. We should stop ripping on that guy.

(And start ripping on the guy who said I don't have any friends because I go to the comic shop. That might be the most bizzare piece of twisted logic I've ever read on these boards. Which is pretty damn amazing.)

Also: Awwww. Cute.

Comic shops are the worst.

My entire family was killed by a comic shop, and now I'm hungry for revenge.

Now that looks like one damn fine comic shop.

The sort of place that I'd like to open up if Mr National Lottery graced me with his favour.

But he hasn't yet, the cheap bastard.

I hope you tooks those kids' keys. I know your shop's rep. Lure 'em in with booze, shake 'em down for money, force Uncle $crooge books in their hands and then turn 'em loose upon the world, stinking of rum, penniless and inherently nerdy after the ordeal. You're a sick man, Alex. A disgusting, vile, smut peddling heathen.

Also, that second picture of the little boy and girl laying on the floor reading a comic book together was absolutely fucking adorable!

Do parents ever get concerned about a strange man, who obviously has a comic book fetish, taking pictures of their kids in public?

And the location is CGI!

Kid Omega is really Michael Bay. Just wait, in 4 months, he'll be telling us that the Transformers movie is going to be the greatest thing of all time.

Heed the warnings!

I met Raina at MoCCA. She's "good people." Some of her mini-comics were very well done.

. . . and on another note, I didn't know BSC # 2 is out. Does Scholastic have a release schedule? Are they part of Diamond, or are they their own distributor?

Yesterday it was sea-mammals, today it's comic book shops.

You really need to get a better "cause" to rally behind . . . .

I'm just upset because my comic shop looks like a grocery store.

They are an arm of HOUGHTON-MIFFLIN, which has a distribution arm as well. Their big hit, of course, is the HARRY POTTER series.

BSC 2 has been out for as while now...
