Hey I'm Michael Chou from Orlando, FL...currently in NY for college, I use to be in the trend with comic books when I was in high skool....and now since I'm in Columbia, can't afford to read comics, I hate meself so much I'm missing out in the world of marvel! So, there's the CIVIL WAR Comic Issues out from June 2006...and I just wanted to know whether I'll be able to get the past 76 copies since 2006 till Civil War#5? How can I do this? Where do I begin?

The only essential stuff is Civil War itself.

What Nick said.
The first four issues have had multiple printings. So unless you care about getting the first printing, you should be able to get them for a reasonable price.

I'm in Columbia and just wanna know comic stores that have all the civil war issues in stock from the first issue...? Will a budget of USD 100 will be enough to get all of ' em?

Ok i didnt know exactly where Columbia U was so i looked it up. There is a comic store across the street and directly below the Empire State Building. I was there less then a week ago and they have Issues 1-4 in stock, literally about 100 copies each. The name is Universe Comics and their phone number is 1212-268-7088. im sure you can find it there. they can also hold it for you because they have done it for me :)let me know how it works out

Wow..that's close by and I didnt knoe that! Hmm...I did heard from my pals back in FL about the shop u mentioned but i don't know where's that? But now I knoe...I'm just gonna go buy the thang issue #1 to #4. Exactly how many issues are out about the war since the first one (#1 Frontline)??...
Did u buy all of ur CW issues at the same comic store? How much will I need to but all of em'? Hopefully I'll be able to finish them before #5. Hmm...well you've been following CW rite? What else shud I need for the whole package? Any stuff or memorabilia about CW that I shudn't be missing out on? Posters and stuff? Can u recommend any CW items?

At this point it might be easier to just wait for the trade (when they collect all the issues in one book). Fraid that won't be out for awhile though.

agree that they would be tough to get retail. some are not--like the front line issues are in abundance and the civil war issues themselves seem to be reprinted in abundance.
some will be marginally hard--like the ff and asm oddly enough. others will be very hard--like she-hulk #8.
best bet: surf the online comic shops, get what you can there then move to ebay.

yea it really isn't too late at all to get started. The main story line in Civil War can be found pretty easily. Also it really depends on how much you want to spend because I would also say that Amazing Spider-Man would be a good buy to understand a lot of what is happening.

Go to Midtown Comics in Times Square -- on 7th and 40th. They overorder everything, and (with reprints) should have everything from CW.
Plus, if you "set up an account" (which really just means tell them your birthday) when you spend $100, you get $20 back - so that $100 will buy you $120 worth of comics.
Just don't go on a Wednesday, because it's packed.

O.K, thanks for helping me this far, I'm sure there a lot out there whose been missing some action in the marvel world like me...so what I need is just buying isues #1 to #4 for a 100 bucks...and what about cards and posters and stuff? Is there anything CW stuff I shud get besides the comics? Launch posters, limited edition items? I heard they had reprints going on for certain issues? What issues are reprinted with new covers and what issues have 2 different covers?
Recommend any sites that sums up what CW issues had past (complete list of issues and pictures to go along)?
Can u

In my opinion, you shouldn't worry about getting posters, and cards and things. Spend that money on more comics:) and civil war issues 1-4 isn't going to cost 100 bucks, but if you have that much to spend get any civil war:frontline issues you can, and i'd suggest picking up wolverine issue 48(don't know if its out yet, but it should come in a week or two) its an epilogue of the latest arc Vendetta. Vendetta informs you on what Nitros story is, and who sets him up and such. I guess if you don't mind buying 6 issues you could just get the whole arc which is 42-47. CW:YA and Runaways is good also, theres 3 issues out right now. I'm not picking up CW:X-men because I've heard some bad things, and I'm not that interested in it. Hope I helped you some. Sorry if some of the things I said was already discussed. Happy Hunting!

Gawrsh...Thanks for the tip now I'm a bit fascinated with the CW covers and I think if I know how the covers looks like that would make my comic hunting hell a lot easier....I'm really dazzled with all the artworks of the CW Covers...I wish I could view all of them in PROPER ORDEr Though online!.....can somebody upload them altogether up to #5 so that I'll be able to print out the covers? Anybody know which site I can find all the pictures for all the CW covers being released? Thanks!:)

I tried goin there today but the problem is that I would want to get the tie ins too! I'm not sure whether this one is a good deal or not on ebay? I need some suggestion and comments in buying the 65 issues in CIVIL WAR for $180 bucks for all of the issues...what do u guys think about this deal?
Here's the website on Ebay that sells the whole complete set...im not sure whether its complete or not?...give me some pro-feedback please?

that looks pretty complete. even looks like the seller has the spidey 'road to the civil war' collection and the ff 'rttcw' stuff. and the first print of she hulk which as a comic was not too hot but as a back issue is rare.
of course now--the xmen, na/runaways are complete. and there are several others you would need to get that just came out in the last 2-4 weeks. that shouldn't be a problem.
