The right guy. I am sooo looking forward to Darkness Calls, the return of the real Hellboy. Found this (http://home.wanadoo.nl/pafrankn/images/fegredo.htm) while rumbling around the net.

A very nice piece indeed! It's topic reminds me of Neil Gaimans Neverwhere... You know- magic in pales of rubbish in the sewers of london. Thanks for sharing the find, Tad

I love it. That bicycle wheel seems to serve him as aureole... it's some kind of sacred image or not? thanx tad

Agreed. I think we're in fer something special and I really have the utmost faith in Mr. Fegredo. That illustration is just icing on what I'm pretty sure will be one gorgeous cake.

Please don't think me crass, but isn't an aureole a part of one's nipple? (it looks like a halo to me) Am I not as smart as I think I am or is my mind just hopelessly stuck in the gutter?

either answer is a considerably sure bet

Ah Shade, those were the days.... actually those were the days that they decided they couldn't justify paying me for painted covers on a down sliding book, hence the b/w covers for the last three issues. Still, some of my favourite covers, thanks for posting this Tad, been a while since I've seen it.

-And most of all thanks for the vote of confidence!

You're quite right, I think Shade with a nipple halo came from that unseen story arc entitled Shade: A Moment of Mammary Madness!

Oops, quite right! All too excitable, that's what living in an ivory tower does for you, don't draw comics kids!

Well it's worth the effort, Shade was a great book. Pete is a brilliant writer when he's on form s'why I worked with him so often.

While we're on the subject Duncan, I want to thank you for "Enigma". It's one of my favorite comic books.

for more way cool super groovy duncan stuff, check out his art for sale over at splash page comic art (http://www.splashpageart.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=4) (especially the monsters on the prowl suff... wow. i'm glad the splash for page 25 wasn't still available, 'cause i'd have sold my right arm for that one... and i kinda like having two arms)

I knew he was the right guy when a friend linked some of his artwork to me. Now I simply must wait patiently til 2007 and Darkness Calls.

I concur, Duncan certainly is the man.

His rendition of Scarecrow is the best I've ever seen.

All butt-kissing aside, the guy is pretty darn great...:D
