Best Read of the Week

I've always liked these threads, and haven't seen once posted for the past week.

So...

My read of the week goes to DMZ #13. Things are really starting to heat up for Matty. A great start for the new 5-part arc.

I'm also reading the Adventures of Kavalier and Clay. Fantastic book!

Kind of a small and weak week comic-wise. Still, there were at least two good'ns. Gage and Mahnke's Stormwatch was by far the best Wildstorm relaunch book. Or at least the best one that wasn't Midnighter, except Ennis could have written that while masturbating to German donkey porn, for all the challenge it probably gave him.

The other best book being Bullet Points. If anything just for the revelation that it was Uncle Ben that turned pre-spider bite Pete into a pussy.

Unfortunately, nothing stands out to me this week. I'm posting to add my agreement that Kavalier & Clay rocks. Nothing this week quite matches it.

If it doesn't have to be things that came out this week, I've been reading some really good '80s marvel; the Aladdin Effect graphic novel rocked. (i'd read it before though)

Doctor Strange was awesome.

Eternals is a lot of fun, and a pretty wild ride.

Batman was a lot of fun.

DMZ is a great start to a new arc. Pretty awesome, actually.

Museum of terror 3 is good so far.

I think Wildcats was the best WS relaunch.

I haven't read DR STRANGE yet, as my stupid store forgot to pull it.

BATMAN was pretty good. Fast paced, some very cool moments.

YOUNG AVENGERS/RUNAWAYS #4 was the best issue of that particular mini. Some pretty good character moments in there.
