In the countless titles of anime and manga, there's always a few that are really good but not many know about it. Which titles do you think are rare gems?

A lot of titles aren't licensed for US release. So I won't bother naming them.
But in terms of titles that tend to be overlooked that did get American releases?
Kaleido Star is at the top of my list. I really loved the show but I know it was REALLY overlooked. I think it's a really great series. Very uplifting. It's about a girl that joins the circus.
I also like Super Gals! This series was so overlooked that ADV didn't license the 2nd season. Rightstuf had to license the 2nd season. And it's really great stuff about... well... if I had to describe it... Who has seen GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka)? Imagine if Onizuka was a teenage girl and you've got a general idea of Ran's character (Ran is the main character of the series). This series is also very silly and very fun.
Yawara! is finally going to get a release thanks to AnimEigo. Now that's an overlooked show.
I also enjoy Galaxy Angel. It's a very funny series. It has no real point except to be funny.

Thumbs up to KALEIDO STAR and big thumbs up for SUPER GALS! I'd also recommend PRINCESS TUTU which starts off as a mish-mosh of derivative elements before settling down into a rather compelling deconstruction of Hans Christian Anderson.
